A Ntes Template fr the write up f the reprt and fr nte-taking **Nte: This guide is nly fr facilitatrs and recrders (nt fr participants) Facilitatr Primary Rle: Intrduce the purpse (i.e. prgram imprvement dcument aspects f the student/faculty/staff experience), set the grund rules (i.e. cmments will nt be linked t names), guide the cnversatin t cver the tpic areas delve deeper as apprpriate (using questins like: Tell me mre abut. What might be an example f that If anther cmmunity member were t ask yu abut x, what wuld yu tell them? ) Take ntes as pssible, but maintain eye cntact as clearly as pssible. See related ntes and reminders later in The Discussin Guide. Recrder Primary Rle: Listen. Take ntes t include nn-verbals and changes in tne like sarcasm r humr facilitatrs may nt be able t capture that level f detail. At the very end ask any unanswered questins r questins regarding unexplred ideas at the invitatin f the facilitatr (we will nt have time t break, cnfer, and recnvene the participants.) If the activity results in a prduct (like a map, writing n the bard, r participant activities) take a cell phne pht. Dcument anything that assists in evaluatin the participants thinking prcess, this include exchanges between participants like I agree r I dn t see that. Results and Intended Use (t be cmpleted by the prject directr r planning team): Briefly describe the ways the fcus grup data and the analysis discussin will fit within yur timeline and yur teams wn plan fr using the data that we will be gathering cnnected t the gals fr this initiative. We want t better tell the stry f the partnerships hw data cllectin is being prvided and then used within the initiatives at the cllege. The results frm the fcus grups will be bth cllege-wide and campus specific. They will be used by the AIR SL Data Team and cntribute t the analysis twards the AIR prcess. The results will be reprted in the August LLC meeting and used mre widely in decisins being made abut the prgram. Backgrund f Participants and Purpse f the Cnversatins: The participants are Valencia Cllege students wh will have experience with Supplemental Learning (SL). Participants are being selected by Deans f Learning Supprt in cllabratin with staff n their respective campuses. Discuss yur rle as the facilitatr explaining the need fr frank and hnest feedback and that the infrmatin is cnfidential (ask participants t cmplete the waiver t audi recrd fr accuracy f the data). Explain aspects f the prcess telling why are we leading these cnversatins and what will happen with the infrmatin (i.e. t determine what will be used t start the cnversatins at Valencia Cllege).
