5 2 3 No World Point caps There is no limit to the number of World Points you can earn. This means for every dollar you spend on eligible purchases, you ll continue to earn World Points. World Point expiry Every World Point you earn is valid for three years. This makes it easy to accumulate points, particularly if you re planning a long-distance holiday or if you want to redeem your points for an extra special reward. Secure Sentinel Protection and Assistance* Secure Sentinel is a loss assistance and retrieval service that helps reduce the risk of fraudulent use of your credit cards, debit cards and mobile phones. Secure Sentinel also helps you to protect and retrieve your personal possessions. This is how it works. With Secure Sentinel, you register all of your financial cards, mobile phones, your passport and other important documents. If any of these are lost or stolen, in New Zealand or overseas, Secure Sentinel will immediately cancel and reorder your cards and block your mobile phone**. 16 ANZ World Visa & ANZ World Visa Platinum Rewards Terms & Conditions 1. Definitions and interpretation In these Terms and Conditions the following words have the meanings set out below, unless the context requires otherwise. Account Holder means the person or persons in whose name a Card Account is kept and who is responsible for all transactions on the Card Account. Additional Cardholder means a person to whom a Card is issued, at the request of the Account Holder, and who is authorised to transact on the Card Account. ANZ means ANZ Bank New Zealand Limited and, where applicable, includes any of its agents or contractors from time to time. ANZ Group means ANZ and its related companies (as defined by the Companies Act 1993). Bonus World Points means the additional World Points that are earned from time to time in a manner notified to you by ANZ, in addition to the standard World Points earned on the Card Account. Card means an ANZ World Visa credit card or an ANZ World Visa Platinum credit card issued by ANZ to a Cardholder. Card Account means an ANZ World Visa credit card account or an ANZ World Visa Platinum credit card account on which a Card is issued. Cardholder means, in relation to a Card Account, the Account Holder and any Additional, or Joint Cardholder. Points Record means a record established in your name for the purpose of determining when you become entitled to claim a Reward. Programme means the ANZ World Visa Rewards Programme to which these Terms and Conditions relate. Reward means a reward, gift, bonus, goods, services or other benefit obtained by you through the accumulation of World Points in accordance with these Terms and Conditions.
17 Rewards Centre means the centre maintained by or on behalf of ANZ to administer the Programme, including handling requests for Rewards and enquiries relating to Points Records or Rewards Statements Rewards Statement means a summary of World Points in the Account Holder s Points Record which is provided in accordance with Clause 5. Travel Reward means a reward relating to travel services, such as airline tickets and accommodation. We, us or our means ANZ. World Point means an ANZ World Visa point that may be earned by an Account Holder under these Terms and Conditions. You and your means the Account Holder and, where applicable, the Additional, or Joint Cardholder. Other expressions used in these Terms and Conditions which are not defined here have the same meaning as in the ANZ Credit Cards Conditions of Use. A copy of the current ANZ Credit Cards Conditions of Use is available from any ANZ branch, at anz.co.nz or by calling ANZ on Acceptance of Terms and Conditions 1. You will be bound by these Terms and Conditions, in addition to the ANZ credit card Conditions of Use, the first time your Card Account is used to acquire goods or services. 2. You will be bound by any amendment to these Terms and Conditions the first time your Card Account is used to acquire goods or services after the amendment, or after you have received notice of the amendment, whichever first occurs. 3. Use of information 1. In addition to the provisions relating to use of information in the ANZ credit card Conditions of Use, ANZ may use your information for the following purposes: (a) Administering the Programme, (b) Providing, performing or arranging for the provision of services relating to the Programme (including the provision of any Reward),
18 (c) Sending you information from time to time on the Programme, and (d) Planning, research and (unless you disagree) the promotion and marketing of services and products of ANZ. ANZ may also disclose your information to its agents, contractors and other companies in the ANZ Group for the above purposes. 2. All information you provide will be securely held by ANZ, its agents, contractors and/or any member of the ANZ Group. You have a right to access the information by enquiring at any branch of ANZ and you may request that it be corrected. A fee may be payable. 3. Information about you for the ANZ World Visa Rewards Programme is set up by you on your online profile when you log in to anzworldvisa.co.nz. This information can only be updated and changed by you through your ANZ World Visa online Rewards Programme account. 4. Earning World Points 1. ANZ World Visa You will earn one World Point per one New Zealand dollar spent on purchases made on your Card Account, subject to the exclusions set out in these Terms and Conditions. ANZ World Visa Platinum You will earn two World Points per one New Zealand dollar spent on purchases made on your Card Account, subject to the exclusions set out in these Terms and Conditions. 2. World Points will not accrue in relation to interest charges, government charges, fees, Card Account adjustments resulting from disputed transactions, merchant refunds or otherwise, cash advances, transfers from or to other financial institutions card accounts and cash equivalent transactions, such as the purchase of foreign exchange or travellers cheques, gambling transactions or business related expenditure. 3. World Points for purchases made in foreign currency will be awarded based on the New Zealand dollar value of the transaction after conversion. 4. World Points accrue daily based on the use of your Card.
19 5. World Points accrued on any day will be credited to your Points Record within five business days. Only whole World Points will be credited to your Points Record. Where your total spend on eligible purchases includes a fraction of a dollar then, for the purposes only of calculating the number of World Points that has accrued, amounts up to the value of 49 cents will be rounded down to zero and amount of 50 cents and over will be rounded up to the nearest dollar. 6. World Points only accrue to Account Holders and not to Additional, or Joint Cardholders. All World Points earned as a result of amounts spent on the Card Account by an Additional Cardholder will accrue to the Account Holder s Points Record. 7. To earn World Points, the Card account must be used wholly and exclusively for your non-business related expenditure. Where ANZ has reason to believe that the expenditure is of a business nature, these transactions will not earn World Points. 8. You may earn Bonus World Points from time to time in any manner notified to you by ANZ. 9. Your Points Record will be adjusted to reflect any of the circumstances referred to in paragraphs 2 and You will not earn World Points if your Card Account is in arrears, suspension or default or if any Cardholder breaches these Terms and Conditions or the ANZ Credit Card Conditions of Use. 11. ANZ reserves the right to establish additional means of accruing World Points, to delete any or all of the means currently recognised or to exclude specific types of transactions from the accumulation of World Points. 12. World Points are only used to determine when an Account Holder becomes entitled to a Reward. World Points are not property and have no monetary value. World Points are not convertible or transferable and can only be redeemed for Rewards
20 5. Rewards Statement 1. To access your Rewards Statements, you must first register your Card at anzworldvisa.co.nz. An Additional Cardholder cannot complete this registration process. 2. By providing a valid address during the registration process, you agree to receive your Reward Statements via on a monthly basis. 3. Your Rewards Statements will be available to view at anzworldvisa.co.nz after you receive your credit card statement. 6. World Points cancellation and expiry 1. World Points are valid for three years from when they were added to your Points Record. Unused World Points that have not been redeemed in accordance with these Terms and Conditions within three years of when they were earned, will be cancelled. 2. World Points will be cancelled at the time of your death and may not be claimed by any other person, unless this is a Joint account. 3. In the event your Card Account is closed, any World Points that remain accrued to the Points Record at that time must be redeemed within 60 days of the date the Card Account is closed. World Points that are not redeemed within that period will be cancelled. 4. In the event the Programme is terminated, we will notify you of termination and any claim for a Reward must be made within 90 days of the date of termination. 5. We may also cancel World Points at our sole discretion, if your Card Account is in arrears, suspension or default, if any Cardholder breaches these Terms and Conditions or the ANZ credit card Conditions of Use, if we reasonably suspect your Card Account is being operated fraudulently, or for any other reason at our discretion.
21 7. Redeeming Rewards General 1. Details of the Rewards available and the number of World Points required to claim a Reward are available online at anzworldvisa.co.nz or by calling the Rewards Centre (ANZ World Visa ; ANZ World Visa Platinum ), Monday to Friday from 9am 5pm. 2. All Rewards are subject to availability and may be withdrawn or substituted at any time. 3. To request a Reward, you must have accumulated the required number of World Points in your Points Record, as shown on the Rewards Statement. 4. Subject to these Terms and Conditions, and any terms and conditions applying to a Reward, you may request a Reward by visiting anzworldvisa.co.nz or by calling the Rewards Centre. Travel Rewards can only be claimed by calling the Rewards Centre. 5. Special terms and conditions may apply to individual Rewards and they will be advised to you online at anzworldvisa.co.nz, or by calling the Rewards Centre, Monday to Friday from 9am 5pm, or by notice from ANZ. 6. Only the Account Holder, or Joint Account Holder may redeem World Points. Additional Cardholders are not entitled to redeem World Points. 7. World Points used to claim a Reward will be deducted from your Points Record at the time we receive your request to claim a Reward and the deduction will be reflected in the next Rewards Statement. The oldest World Points in your Points Record will be deducted first when a Reward is claimed. 8. The number of World Points required to obtain any Reward may be varied at any time by ANZ without prior notice. 9. Once a request for a Reward has been made, it cannot be cancelled or changed for a Reward of any other form. 10. If your Card Account is in arrears, suspension or default, no Rewards will be claimable. 11. Rewards cannot be claimed by pooling the World Points of different Account Holders or different Card Accounts held by the same Account Holder.

Unless we advise otherwise in writing, Rewards cannot be returned in exchange for World Points being credited to the Points Account, nor can Rewards be cashed in, exchanged, altered or revoked. Rewards also cannot be replaced if lost, stolen or otherwise destroyed. 13. Only damaged or defective merchandise Rewards reported within seven days of receipt can be returned for exchange. 14. Rewards will be sent by mail to the address last notified by the Account Holder to ANZ. ANZ will not be responsible for any lost or delayed mail. Unless we advise in writing otherwise, Rewards will not be delivered to an address outside New Zealand. 7.2 Points + Pay 1. You may use the option of Points + Pay to redeem selected Rewards. The Points plus Pay option may be used when the symbol is displayed next to your chosen Reward. This means that you can claim a Reward by using World Points and also paying a monetary amount by debiting your Card. 2. For all Rewards other than Travel Rewards, the number of World Points that can be used as part of the Points + Pay option, along with the corresponding amount to be paid using your Card, will be displayed on anzworldvisa.co.nz. 3. For Travel Rewards, a minimum of 10,000 World Points is required to claim any Travel Reward using Points + Pay. Subject to that minimum being reached, you can use any number of World Points to claim a Travel Reward with the remaining value being paid by debiting your Card. 4. If you use the Points + Pay option, the monetary amount payable will be processed against your Card at the time we receive your request to claim a Reward. 7.3 Voucher Rewards 1. All Rewards in the form of vouchers must be used by the expiry date shown on the voucher (if applicable). Additional terms and conditions may also be stated on the voucher and are imposed by the relevant Reward provider. It is your responsibility to satisfy any terms and conditions imposed by any Reward provider. ANZ is in no way responsible for the quality or
23 suitability of any goods or services purchased using vouchers. Any complaints you have with the Reward provider must be resolved by you. 2. Vouchers will not be cancelled or refunded if lost or stolen. 3. Once a voucher has been issued it cannot be returned or exchanged. 4. Vouchers worth $500 or more are sent via a Signature Required Courier. You must provide a New Zealand address where someone is available during the day to sign for delivery. Where we are required to re-deliver a Reward, we may charge you an additional delivery charge. 7.4 Travel Rewards 1. All Travel Rewards are subject to the Reward provider s terms and conditions, including airfare conditions and routing restrictions. You must read and ensure you and any travel companion comply with these terms and conditions. 2. A booking fee will be charged in respect of all Travel Reward redemptions. The booking fee will be $15 per booking for domestic travel and $30 per booking for international travel. The booking fee can be debited to your Card (or can be paid using World Points). Booking fees are non-refundable including in the event of a cancellation. 3. Cancellation of a Travel Reward booking is subject to the Reward provider s cancellation policy. If cancellation is permitted, you must notify us of your cancellation request in writing, either by , fax or mail. In the event of a cancellation, you may be required to pay a cancellation fee. The amount of any cancellation fee is at the individual Reward provider s discretion and payment is solely your responsibility. Any refund available, after cancellation fees have been deducted, will first be reimbursed to your World Points balance (up to the World Points value originally deducted) with any remaining balance processed on to your Card. 4. Where amendment of a Travel Reward booking is permitted by the Reward provider, amendment fees may apply. The amount of any amendment fees is at the Reward provider s discretion and payment is solely your responsibility. Amendment fees will either be debited to your Card or paid using World Points prior to the amendment being processed
24 5. Before claiming a Travel Reward, you should carefully check to see whether any cancellation, amendment or other fees apply. 6. Passport, visa, health and all other travel requirements are the responsibility of individual travellers. Any information provided by us in relation to travel requirements is provided in good faith and should be treated as a guideline only. 7. We recommend that as a minimum you insure yourself fully against cancellation, disruption, loss of luggage and personal property, and medical expenses. Travel insurance can be arranged through any ANZ branch or by calling If you are an ANZ World Visa Platinum cardholder, you and your family are eligible for Overseas Travel Insurance if you pay for your Travel Reward using World Points and then use your ANZ World Visa Platinum to pay for at least half of your remaining prepaid travel costs. If all your prepaid travel costs have been paid for using World Points and you have not used your card to pay for any prepaid travel costs, you may still activate cover by calling the Chartis call centre on during normal business hours. Eligibility criteria, terms, conditions and exclusions apply to Overseas Travel Insurance. Where, for any reason, a Travel Reward provider is unable to provide particular facilities or services then the provider shall be entitled to substitute those facilities or services with comparable or equivalent facilities or services. 10. ANZ will not be liable for or responsible for any loss or damage relating to your baggage, personal possessions, health or welfare, or delays or travel disruptions. 11. You acknowledge and agree that our role in relation to your travel arrangements is limited to facilitating your booking and arranging travel documentation, payments and refunds as applicable. Where refunds are due to you from a Travel Rewards provider, we will provide reasonable assistance to you in claiming such refunds from the provider.
25 8. Pricing 1. Prices (quoted in World Points and/or New Zealand Dollars) of Rewards, as displayed on the ANZ World Visa website anzworldvisa.co.nz, are current at the time of display. Reward providers may change their prices at any time. We reserve the right to change these prices from time to time without notice. 2. We reserve the right to correct at any stage any errors or omissions in the advertised prices of Rewards and of any fees and charges. 3. For Travel Rewards, any prices (quoted in World Points and/or New Zealand Dollars) include taxes (other than any departure tax). The quoted prices are subject to confirmation of availability by the Reward provider. Please note that some airports require travellers to pay departure taxes at the point of departure. These departure taxes are not included in prices quoted and are not payable using your World Points. 9. Delivery 1. Once redeemed, Rewards should be delivered to the address stipulated within 21 working days (for merchandise) or 10 working days (for vouchers) of the initial redemption, subject to availability. Confirmation of Travel Rewards (including a travel booking reference number) will be sent to your designated address on the day your redemption is processed. 2. You are responsible for ensuring that the delivery address you provide at the time of redemption is correct. Rewards will only be delivered to New Zealand addresses. We are not responsible for lost or stolen Rewards after they have been issued or sent to you. 3. If you have not received your Reward(s) within the stipulated time, please us at or contact the Rewards Centre (ANZ World Visa ; ANZ World Visa Platinum ) between 9am and 5pm, Monday to Friday. We are not liable for any loss or damage you may suffer as a result of late delivery of a Reward. You may not cancel an order due to late delivery
26 4. Rewards are considered to be delivered if you have not notified ANZ of non-delivery of Rewards within two months from the date of redemption. After this time, ANZ will not honour replacement of Rewards nor reinstate any World Points. 10. Returns and refunds 1. Rewards can only be returned or exchanged where the Reward is damaged prior to delivery, or the incorrect Reward is delivered. You will need to notify us of the defective, damaged or incorrect Reward within seven days of delivery. Returns may not be accepted after seven days of delivery of the Reward. A defective, damaged or incorrect Reward will be replaced or exchanged for another Reward of the same value. 2. Except as otherwise required by law and as set out above, Rewards cannot be returned or exchanged for World Points, for any other Reward, for any cash or credit, or for any other consideration. 3. Products and services advertised on the ANZ World Visa website may be replaced or re-supplied under any applicable warranty given by the manufacturer of the product or provider of the service. We will provide you with the details of any applicable warranty in the confirmation we send you. We make no warranties or representations either express or implied and expressly disclaim any and all liabilities (including liability for consequential damages) with respect to type, quality, standard, fitness or suitability for any purpose of all Rewards provided under the ANZ World Visa Rewards Programme. 11. Changes to Rewards and these Terms and Conditions 1. We may at any time at our discretion, and without notice, withdraw, limit, modify, cancel or increase the continued availability of any Reward or the number of World Points required to claim a particular Reward. Reward providers may also change without notice.
27 2. We may change or amend these Terms and Conditions at any time. We will notify you of any change at least 14 days before that change takes effect by direct communication to your last known address, by advertisement in the public notices columns of major newspapers or by displaying the change in branches of ANZ. 12. What we are not liable for 1. To the full extent permitted by law, ANZ: (a) Makes no warranties or representations either express or implied as to, and expressly disclaims any and all liabilities (including for consequential damages) with respect to, the type, quality, standard or fitness or suitability for any purpose of the Rewards, (b) Is not responsible for the loss, theft or destruction of Rewards, (c) Does not accept any liability with respect to any loss, damage, injury or death arising from the supply or use of (or inability to supply or use) a Reward, (d) Is not liable for any delay or inability to provide any Rewards. 2. While we have taken care to ensure that any information provided about a Reward is from reliable sources, such information is published in good faith and we cannot warrant its accuracy. 3. We accept no responsibility or liability for any failure or delay on the part of any Travel Reward provider in providing travel services to you where your booking has been properly processed, nor are we responsible for any acts or omissions of Reward providers in the course of delivery of such travel services. 4. Where we are liable to you under these terms and conditions our liability will be limited to providing the relevant Reward again or to refunding any money paid in relation to Rewards or services not provided because of our default
28 13. Questions and queries 1. If you have any questions or queries regarding the Programme (including eligibility for Rewards or accrual of World Points), you should contact the Rewards Centre. 2. If you think we have made an error in relation to your Points Record or any Rewards Statement, you need to notify us as soon as possible and in any event within six months of the date of the relevant Rewards Statement. 3. Notification of possible errors must be submitted in writing to the Rewards Centre and, where relevant, be accompanied by legible proof of the eligible purchase to your Card Account and/or a copy of your Rewards Statement showing the disputed transaction. ANZ World Visa Rewards Centre PO Box 4203 Auckland ANZ will investigate all questions and queries but reserves the right to make a final determination in the event of a dispute. ANZ further reserves the right to adjust Points Records retrospectively in the event of incorrect crediting or debiting whether due to the error of ANZ or otherwise. 5. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may access our complaints handling procedure, which is set out in the ANZ credit card Conditions of Use.
29 14. General 1. Use of Your Card and Card Account is governed by the ANZ Credit Cards Conditions of Use as well as these Terms and Conditions. 2. If any Cardholder on your Card Account breaches the ANZ credit card Conditions of Use or these Terms and Conditions, we may suspend or exclude you and/or that Cardholder from participating in the Programme. 3. Any tax liability, duty or other government charge or reporting requirement in connection with or on any benefit derived by you from the use of a Card by any Cardholder or receipt of a Reward is your sole responsibility. 4.
