5 DEPARTMENTS Department of Forensic Science: - The Dept. of Forensic Science consists of following Divisions according to the examination of the evidences; Fingerprint Division The Fingerprint Division deals with the searching, collection, preservation and examination as well as expert opinion of the followings; Searching and development of Latent Fingerprint Comparison of Fingerprint Verification of Thumb Impression Preservation of 10 Digit Fingerprint impression Taking of Fingerprint impression on Police clearance (PCC) form Taking 10 Digit impression on Visa/immigration card (FBI 258 card) Document Division In this Document Division, we deal with examination, verification of Document as well gives expert opinion. The documents which have been examined in this division are as follows; Handwriting analysis Typewriting analysis Signature verification Forged Document analysis Forged Signature examination Document alteration examination Document verification Comparison of Handwritings Comparison of Signatures etc. Examination of Photographs Forensic Serology Division The Serology Division deals with searching, collection, preservation and examination of serological fluids. The serological fluids such as Blood, Semen, Saliva, urine etc. have been examined by this division. Following types of examinations are carrying out; Examination of stains for body fluids. Examination of stains for Blood Examination of stains for Semen Examination of stains for Saliva Examination of stains for Urine Examination of Blood group Examination of Sperm in provided semen, etc. Forensic Biology Division The Biology Division deals with searching, collection, preservation and examination of biological evidences. 6 Crime Scene Management Division The Crime Scene Management Division deals with following Identification and preservation of crime scene Sketching of crime scene Photography and videography of crime scene Searching of evidences Collection of evidences Preservation of evidences despatching the evidence to the laboratory for examination Taking specimen sample for control examination, etc. Forensic Physics Division The Forensic Physics Division deals with searching, collection, preservation and examination of physical evidences. Following examination has been done by Physics Division; Examination of Glass fracture Examination of Entry and Exit whole Examination of Tool marks Examination of Foot ware prints Examination of Tyre marks Comparison of Foot ware impressions Forensic Security Service Division The division of Security Services provide facility to keeping record of the document and verification of the document as well as employee / staff, etc. regarding security services following services are providing by the organization. Department of Forensic Education/Training Programme The objective of the Department of Forensic Education to organise forensic training programme for Corporate, Professionals, Advocates, Policemen and Administrative, Banks, Insurances Sector, School / College / Institutes as following; Forensic Training on Fingerprint Analysis The objective of the Forensic Training on Fingerprint Analysis is to provide fundamental knowledge about the Fingerprints, are as follows; Historical Development of Fingerprint, Types of Fingerprint, Classification of Fingerprint, Ridge Characteristics of Fingerprint, Methods for Developing Latent Fingerprints, Photography of Fingerprint, Comparison of Fingerprint. Forensic Training on Document Analysis The objective of the Forensic Training on Document Analysis is to provide fundamental knowledge about the Document as follows; Introduction of Document and Questioned Document, Handwriting, Class and Individual Characteristics of Handwriting, Signature, Forgery, Types of Forgery, Identification Methods, Comparison of Handwriting & Signature. Forensic Training on Crime Scene Management The objective of the Forensic Training on Crime Scene Management is to provide the fundamental knowledge regarding the management of Crime Scene. After completion of the training trainee would be able understand the Crime Scene, Types of Crime Scene, Sketching of Crime Scene, Evidence, Methods for Searching of Evidences, Types of Evidence, photography of Evidences and to do the following activities; Identification of Crime Scene, Preservation of Crime Scene, Sketching of Crime Scene, Searching of Evidences, Preservation of Evidence, Packaging, Labelling & handling of Evidences to the authority personnel, Collection of control sample from victim/suspect/culprit. Training on Cyber Forensics The motive behind the training Cyber Forensics to gain knowledge related to Computer and searching, collection, preservation and analysis of evidence, data-recovery, digital crimes etc. Forensic Internship Programme The Forensic Internship Programme is specially organise for Under Graduate (UG) and Post Graduate (PG) students to application their theoretical knowledge in to practical knowledge.
