Visit Jaffa old port and Artist s colony. Overnight: Royal Beach hotel, Tel Aviv Sunday, October 19: Breakfast at hotel. Tour of Tel Aviv, Israel s Metropolis of one million people. In 1909 a handful of Jews living nearby Jaffa, purchased land and converted sand dunes into a city, which became Israel s center of culture and commerce. Visit the Palmach Museum, displaying Israel s battles for Independence. Overnight: Royal Beach hotel, Tel Aviv Monday, October 20: Breakfast at hotel. Depart Tel Aviv via the coastal highway. Drive to Giv at Haviva; participate in a Seminar on Arab -Jewish coexistence. Drive to Ussfya Druze village; meet this unique ethnic group that tied its fate with the fate of Israel. Home hospitality followed by traditional lunch. Proceed to Acre, UNESCO World Heritage site; visit the Crusader's halls, underground city and port. Visit Beit Shean National Park, with its fascinating Roman city. Continue via the Jordan Valley to Jerusalem. Shehechyanu ceremony on Mount Scopus overlooking the Golden City. Overnight: Inbal hotel, Jerusalem Thursday, October 23: Breakfast at hotel. Today we experience the thrill of entering the Old City. Walk through the Cardo the ancient Mall of the Old City, see the different quarters. Audio visual visit to Beit Hamikdash at Davidson Center, explore the Southern Wall excavations. Walk to the Western Wall. Guided tour of the Kotel Tunnels, the underground continuation of the Western Wall, along the Temple Mount. Afternoon: Special culinary tour of Machane Yehuda; Jerusalem famous Market. Cooking class and dinner with Chef Tali Friedman. Continue to Masada; Ascend by cable car to King Herod s fortress and the Jewish zealots last stronghold. Freshen up at the Dead Sea spa. Drive through the Negev to Mitzpe Ramon.
