Glory to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit; As it was in the beginning, is now, and shall be ages unto ages. Amen. Who is like You, O LORD majestic in holiness, awesome in praises, working wonders? The LORD is my strength and song; He has become my salvation. 4 PRAYERS OF CONFESSION Call to Confession: Meditations You were called to freedom. Only do not use your freedom as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another. For the whole law is fulfilled in one word: You shall love your neighbor as yourself. Galatians 5:13-14 Walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh. For the desires of the flesh are against the Spirit, and the desires of the Spirit are against the flesh, for these are opposed to each other, to keep you from doing the things you want to do. A thought about worship from the Ancient Fathers It is a great reward to have turned a wandering dying soul to salvation. This is how we can repay the God who created us: by speaking and hearing with faith and love. Therefore, we must abide in our righteous, holy beliefs. Then we can make requests to God who says, While thou art yet speaking, I will say, Lo, I am here. This is a great promise, for the Lord Himself said He is more ready to give than the asker is to ask. Since you have received this great kindness, don't envy one another's possessions. For as pleasing as these promises are for those that do them, those who are disobedient will be greatly condemned. Therefore, beloved, since we have a great chance to repent, we must turn to the God that called us while we still have the chance to be received by Him.
