2 Welcome Dear Colleagues, I am delighted to welcome you to the Advanced Medicine Congress organised by Imperial College London Diabetes Centre (ICLDC) in collaboration with the UK s Royal College of Physicians. Imperial College London Diabetes Centre and the Royal College of Physicians have partnered again to bring this important event to the UAE capital for a second time. The conference will convene over two days where delegates will learn about recent developments ingeneral medicine, including neurology, haematology and cardiology. Patient safety is theme for this year s conference. Leading UK experts join an excellent cast of speakers from the region. New in 2016 is Meet the Experts where delegates get the chance to pick the minds of some of the UK s finest doctors. Our speakers have been carefully chosen and are experts in their fields. They are some of the most eminent experts that the UAE and the UK have to offer in their fields. The conference is accredited by the Health Authority Abu Dhabi (HAAD). 3 About Imperial College London Diabetes Centre Imperial College London Diabetes Centre, part of Mubadala s network of world-class healthcare facilities, opened in Abu Dhabi in 2006 as the first healthcare facility established by Mubadala Development Company, in partnership with Imperial College London. 5 Venue Yas Marina Circuit Yas Marina Circuit is conveniently located on Yas Island, Abu Dhabi s new into a multi-purpose leisure, shopping and entertainment center. The Island is situated southeast of the Abu Dhabi main island and a few minutes drive from Abu Dhabi International Airport. Yas Marina Circuit is easily accessible and can be reached by public transport or car. BY CAR From Abu Dhabi Please follow the road signage to Yas Island. Once on the island, road signage will direct you to Yas Marina Circuit. From Dubai Follow Dubai - Ghweifat International Highway and E10 to Abu Dhabi. Exit from Abu Dhabi - Shahama Rd/E10 Stay right and turn right onto Yas Gateway Once on the island, road signage will direct you to Yas Marina Circuit. BY BUS Public bus services operate to and from Yas Island on a frequent basis. You can check public bus routes at tools/transport/public-bus-routes-/ For specific route directions, click on GET DIRECTIONS from the Yas Marina Circuit Google Maps pin and enter your location. The Advanced Medicine Congress will be hosted in the Event Center at Yas Marina Circuit.
