To guarantee delivery for the start of term (September 2014) orders need to be placed by 1 August Trying On Days Michael Hope will be attending the school for two trying on sessions on: 23 May from pm and 4 July 8.00am 6.00pm These sessions are strictly BY APPOINTMENT ONLY. If you are unable to attend any of the trying on days it may be possible to visit the showroom near Bath on a date before 1 August please contact Michael Hope for more details. Second Hand Clothing Shop The Second Hand Clothing Shop provides an excellent and popular service to parents, whether buying or selling, with the additional benefit of 30% of the sale price going to the College Amenity Fund. You can support the Shop by sending (via your child s Houseparents or Matron), at the beginning of each term, any regulation uniform items (in good condition) which you would like to sell. If there is anything you need to buy, call in and have a look at the good quality clothing we have in stock.

These should be sewn onto the inside collar or waistband so that items are easily identified. Rugby boots and trainers All shoes and boots must also be clearly named using adhesive shoe labels, permanent marker or Tippex pen.

10 Dress Code All pupils are expected to follow the dress code appropriate to their year group. 1 st 5 th Form Boys: College regulation blazer White shirt, tucked in and top button done up. Grey trousers (no underwear visible) Slim brown or black belt with a simple, discreet buckle College regulation jumper with sleeves down and shirt cuffs not visible College tie (tie knots to the collar) Black polished shoes Black or grey socks Coat, plain black or navy (non leather/denim/bodywarmer) College scarf, regulation for 1 st & 2 nd form, 3 rd -5 th Form may wear plain black Gloves, plain black Hat, plain black Girls: College regulation blazer White blouse with formal open neck collar (not a shirt that is normally worn with a tie.) Blouses must be tucked in. No midriff or under layers/vest tops should be showing. Buttons on blouses should be done up to at least one hand s width above the sternum Grey regulation skirt (no shorter than the middle of the knee) College regulation jumper. Black polished shoes with a heel height between 15mm (0.5 ) and 35mm (1.5 ) Black un-patterned tights or white ankle socks (pupils should not be bare legged). Flesh coloured tights may be worn in the summer term only. Coat, plain black or navy (non leather/denim/bodywarmer) College scarf, regulation for 1 st & 2 nd form, 3 rd -5 th Form may wear plain black Gloves, plain black Hat, plain black or navy or regulation College beanie Sports/Activities Dress Code For all sports and activities during the school day, all pupils must wear official LWC sports kit. This includes any activities taking place in the sports hall and environs of the school + activities such as DofE, 3rd/4th Form Monday activities and 3rd Form Challenge. Pupils should wear this kit in transit from their house to and from the activity.

11 After 4.00pm those not involved in activities/sports may wear casual clothes. This is the deadline before which pupils may not leave the house in casuals or variations of the sports kits. The only alternative to this is 1 st XV, XI, VII, VI teams and CCF who have their own kit or by direct permission from the person in charge of the sport/activity. Pupils taking part in non-active sessions (ie drama, music, departmental clinics, etc) should wear normal school uniform. Appropriate footwear (trainers, rugby boots, etc) must be worn. Flip flops and pumps of any design are not permissible nor are random hats/caps. Official branded LWC sports kit includes: Waterproof training top Games shirts Rugby shirt Black shorts/skort Long rugby/hockey socks Black tracksuit bottoms Grey hoodie Cricket clothing All Pupils The College uniform will be worn from 7.45 am until the end of the working day. Hair should be clean, tidy and off the face. It should be predominantly natural in colour and not exhibiting any extremes of fashion. Long hair should be tied back (1 st 5 th form girls) Boys may not wear earrings or other piercings but may wear a discreet ring, necklace or bracelet. Girls may wear only one stud or sleeper in the lower lobe of each ear, one discreet ring, necklace and bracelet, but not ankle bracelets. No other piercings are permitted. Pupils in Junior House may not wear make-up. Girls in 3rd-6th Form may wear a discreet amount of make-up when in College uniform. Any type of false nails are not permitted and coloured nail varnish may not be worn. Boys must be clean shaven at all times whilst in school uniform. Casual dress consists of clean and tidy clothes of a sensible design. In all cases staff have discretion to decide on what is acceptable. For certain activities, trips and visits outside College, pupils may wear casual clothes according to the instructions issued by a member of staff. Pupils may only attend lessons in casual or games clothing if they have a specific reason

12 and, even then, only with the permission of the person in charge of the outing/activity and the class teacher concerned. Pupils must attend breakfast and lunch in College uniform except as above. Dress Code Particular to Junior House Pupils For the purpose of College uniform, the formal part of the day is defined as:- Weekdays 8.15 am 4.00 pm Saturdays Juniors should wear uniform for sporting fixtures against other schools. Junior House pupils should arrive and leave College in uniform except on Saturdays. Casual Clothes (Boys and Girls) All pupils will need a set of smart casual clothes to be worn on outings but we would ask that the amount of non-uniform clothes at school could be kept to a minimum as there is limited storage space in the boarding houses. As with all school uniform, all items of clothing must be named appropriately.
