2 As an investor, you should be aware that: this investment-linked insurance policy is issued by Sun Life Hong Kong Limited ( the Company ). Your investments are subject to the credit risks of the Company; you are investing in an insurance policy but not investing in the underlying funds. Whether you re looking to move to a new home, fund your children s education or plan for your retirement, capital growth and protection are equally important in planning for the future.
3 An Investment Portfolio Working for You You can access a wide range of investment-linked funds linked to underlying funds across various regions and sectors in the global market to diversify your investment risk with SunAchiever. With a regular contribution as low as USD100 per month/usd1,200 per annum Note 1, you may create a balanced investment portfolio from a wide range of quality investment-linked funds linked to underlying investments which are offered by professional investment managers. For example, these products include investment-linked funds of select portfolios, lifestyle portfolios, bond, equity and money market with various risk and return characteristics. Even better, you can get your investment dollar working hard for you without paying bid-offer spread charges Note 2 and enjoy unlimited switching between investment-linked funds free of charge. Note 1 The minimum regular contribution varies according to the Contribution Payment Term. Please refer to Regular Contribution under Your Contributions section in the relevant Product Brochure for details. Note 2 You should consider all types of fees and charges of an investment-linked product before making a decision. Please refer to the relevant Product Brochure for details. Potential Growth from a Variety of Bonuses You will reap the investment advantages of SunAchiever bonuses in 3 ways: You will receive an extra First Year Bonus Note 3 on the 1 st Policy Anniversary which is guaranteed to be a percentage of your regular contributions paid in the 1 st policy year, subject to a maximum of Annualized Committed Contribution if you select a plan with an Annualized Committed Contribution of USD2,500 or above. To potentially increase the power of your investment, you may receive a regular Savings Bonus Note 3, at the end of the 10 th policy year and every 5 th policy year thereafter during your Contribution Payment Term if you have already paid at least 90% of the amount of your committed contribution Note 4. You may potentially receive a lump sum Commitment Bonus Note 3 at the end of the Contribution Payment Term if you select a plan with a minimum of 15 years Contribution Payment Term. The Commitment Bonus, if any, will be equal to the sum of policy fee paid during the Contribution Payment Term, and will be paid to reward your pledge to reach your target contribution period. Note 3 The First Year Bonus, Savings Bonus and Commitment Bonus, if any, will be credited to your policy account through the allocation of notional units according to your contribution allocation schedule. The Savings Bonus and Commitment Bonus are not guaranteed (the Company reserves the right to vary or cancel the Savings Bonus and Commitment Bonus from time to time with prior written notice in compliance with the relevant regulatory requirements). Bonus allocations are subject to different conditions specified by the Company. For details, please refer to the relevant Product Brochure. Note 4 This will be reduced by several factors, such as taking a Contribution Holiday, reducing your regular contribution amount or making a withdrawal. For the detailed calculation, please refer to the relevant Product Brochure.
4 SunAchiever provides you with insurance coverage at no extra charge. In the unfortunate event of the insured s death, the beneficiary will receive a lump sum comprising of a death benefit plus extra accidental death benefit (if applicable): Whole Life Protection provides you with lifetime insurance coverage up to age 100 with no underwriting required if you do not attach riders. The death benefit amount, equivalent to 101% of your investment-linked fund value, will be payable in a lump sum to your designated beneficiary upon the insured s death. You may enhance your benefits by attaching rider benefits such as accident insurance, critical illness insurance, hospitalization insurance, waiver of charges and waiver of premiums upon payment of an additional insurance charge, subject to underwriting. Your financial objectives may change from time to time, depending on your requirements and circumstances. SunAchiever makes sure your financial strategy incorporates the kind of flexibility you may need to draw upon at various stages of your life. Only then will you be confident of meeting life s challenges. Contribution Holiday Note 5 : allows you to suspend contributions temporarily after the Mandatory Contribution Period in response to your financial needs. (Subject to terms and conditions, please refer to the relevant Product Brochure for details). Contribution holidays can be exercised as long as the policy value is sufficient to cover the monthly deductions of Policy Fee, Administration Charge and Insurance Charge of Rider Benefits.
5 Note 5 The change in regular contribution amount or Contribution Holiday will not lead to a reduction in the monthly deductions as shown in the Fees and Charges section. The policy will lapse and be terminated by the Company if the investment-linked fund value is not sufficient to cover the policy charges.

9 Big Day Event campaign Our Big Day Event campaign will last until 31 March 2010 To make your life brighter, Sun Life Financial is delighted to announce our Big Day Event campaign promotion for some of our most popular investment-linked insurance plans. From now until 31 March 2010 ( the Promotional Period ), you can enjoy the following exclusive privileges for any successful application of SunAchiever with an Annualized Committed Contribution of USD2,500 or above (this requirement applies to all tiers) during the Promotional Period: Tier 1: Top-up Bonus for SunAchiever An extra 50% of the First Year Bonus will be awarded as a top-up bonus 1 ( Extra 50% Top-up Bonus ). The bonus will be in the form of a cheque. 1 The maximum Extra 50% Top-up Bonus amount is capped at HKD10,000. The Extra 50% Top-up Bonus is calculated based on the First Year Bonus payable in the 1 st policy year (the First Year Bonus rate ranges from 1.25% to 25% of your regular contributions paid in the first policy year according to Annualized Committed Contribution and Contribution Payment Term) stated under Table 3 in the Variety of Bonuses section in the SunAchiever Product Brochure. Tier 2: Protection Bonus A Protection Bonus is offered to those who qualify for Tier 1, and in addition, successfully apply for selected protection plans 2. An additional 2% of the highest Annualized First Year Premium 3 of these plans will be awarded, as long as the insured person is the same as that for the newly purchased SunAchiever 3 policy. The bonus will be in the form of supermarket coupons or a cheque. If the bonus is equal to or under HKD5,000, the bonus will be paid by supermarket coupons after the bonus amount is rounded up to the nearest multiple of HKD50. Bonuses over HKD5,000 will be paid by cheque. 2 Selected protection plans are SunHealth Critical Illness Care, SunHealth Medical Fit (Standalone and/or Rider), SunHealth Medical Care (Standalone and/or Rider) and SunCare Accident Protection Plan. 3 If more than one new SunAchiever and/or selected protection plans are issued for the same insured during the Promotional Period, only the basic plan with the highest Annualized Committed Contribution and/or Annualized First Year Premium will be counted. Tier 3: Big Day Event special gift Either one of the below Big Day Event special gifts will be awarded if the policy owner/the insured of SunAchiever or their specified family member 4 gives birth or gets married on or between 1 January 2009 and 31 March 2010 ( the designated period ). Big Day Events Special Gift 5 New born A gift pack valued at HKD500 including a 2-year free subscription of the Parents Journal monthly magazine; 4 complementary tickets (2 adults and 2 children) to the Children Charities Carnival 2010; and 20% off for any children s event organized by Peegaboo, and 20% discount upon purchase of the StoryKingdom Fruit Series Book Set, for 1 year. Newlyweds A HKD500 travel voucher
10 4 Specified family member refers to the child(ren) or grandchild(ren) of the policy owner or the insured. 5 Each succssful application of SunAchiever is entitled to only one gift either a gift pack or a travel voucher. If more than one Big Day Event occurs in the same policy, only the latest Big Day Event is counted. Please contact your Sun Life Consultant or call our Customer Service Hotline at for details. Terms & Conditions: The Tier 1 offer is only applicable to successful applications of SunAchiever with Annualized Committed Contribution of USD2,500 or above submitted during the period from 15 January 2010 to 31 March 2010, both dates inclusive, ( the Promotional Period ). The Tier 2 offer is only applicable to successful application of any of the selected protection plans with the same insured as in the SunAchiever plan submitted within the Promotional Period. These policy(ies) and any rider(s) must be issued by Sun Life Hong Kong Limited ( Sun Life ) on or before 30 April The Tier 3 offer is only applicable to the policy owner/the insured of SunAchiever in Tier 1, or their specified family members who give birth or get married on or between 1 January 2009 and 31 March You/the insured are required to complete and sign the Big Day Event Campaign Declaration Form. The date of birth for the new born or the date of marriage for newlyweds needs to be within the designated period. The signed form needs to be returned to Sun Life via your consultant on or before 16 April Sun Life reserves the right to request further information to verify any information listed in the declaration form. Only one form is needed per policy. If more than one form is received, the latest form received will supersede the previous one(s). Your new policy and the rider(s) must be inforce after the relevant cooling off period and you must not have made any withdrawals and loans or rider cancellation or premium reduction or contribution holiday when the bonus(es)/ gift(s) is/are issued except for the termination of the policy(ies) as a result of a valid policy claim. Each policy is only be entitled to these offers once. The Extra 50% Top-up Bonus of SunAchiever will be paid by cheque. If the Protection Bonus of SunHealth Critical Illness Care, SunHealth Medical Fit (Standalone and/or Rider), SunHealth Medical Care (Standalone and/or Rider) or SunCare Accident Protection Plan is equal to or under HKD5,000, the bonus will be paid by supermarket coupons after the bonus amount is rounded up to the nearest multiple of HKD50. Bonuses over HKD5,000 will be paid by cheque. The cheque for Tier 1 will be sent to you via your consultant in March 2010 (for policies issued in January 2010), in April 2010 (for policies issued in February 2010), in May 2010 (for policies issued in March 2010) and June 2010 (for policies issued in April 2010). Cheque/supermarket coupons for Tier 2 and/or travel vouchers for Tier 3 will be sent to you via your consultant on or before 30 June The gift pack for Tier 3 will be directly mailed to you on or before 30 June 2010 by the relevant organizer/merchant. The supermarket coupons/travel voucher/gift pack cannot be redeemed for cash and are subject to the terms and conditions of the relevant organizer/merchant. Sun Life will not be responsible for any obligations, liabilities and/or extra costs arising from using the supermarket coupons/travel voucher/gift pack. These offers can be used in conjunction with Sun Life Special Preview CNY Movie 72 Tenants of Prosperity Lucky Draw Offer. Sun Life reserves the right to vary, suspend or cancel these offers and amend their terms and conditions at any time and without prior notice.
