14 Service Indicators Survival: Child Health 1. All children are registered at birth. 2. All infants are exclusively breastfed up to 6 months. 3. All children are fully immunized. 4. All children 0-1 yr are weighed monthly and quarterly for children over 1 yr. 5. All children are well nourished. 6. All children are given 1 dose of Vit A starting at 6-11 mos/1-5 yrs are given Vit A capsules 2x /yr.

15 Survival: Maternal Health 7. All births are attended by trained personnel. 8. All pregnant women get at least 4 complete prenatal check ups. 9. All mothers are fully immunized against tetanus. 10. All pregnant or lactating mothers get vit A & iron supplements 11. All pregnant women at risk get emergency obstetrical care. 12. All pregnancies are spaced at least 3-5 years apart.

16 Development: Education 13. All 3-5 yr old children attend ECCD programme. 14. All children 6-15 yr. old complete basic education through regular or alternative delivery modes. 15. All children graduating in elementary school attain mastery level of nationally defined competencies.

17 Protection: Child at risk 16. All illiterate parents or caregivers are enrolled in functional literacy programme. 17. All children are removed from hazardous or exploitative labour, prostitution & pornography 18. All children in conflict with the law are separated from adult detainees or provided with diversion programme. 19. All cases of physical & sexual abuse & violence are eliminated in the home, school & community.

However, in order to qualify, LGUs should already have the following initial efforts: l Local Development Plan and Investment Plan for Children l Local Ordinances that promote/ protect children s rights l Data bank on children
