4 A Gift in Your Will Makes a Difference At Dignitas, all that we do is inspired by the belief that everyone deserves health and dignity. If you share these beliefs, a gift in your will is a powerful and lasting way to support our work. Leaving a gift in your will does not cost anything today and will provide vital support for people in need of health care in the future. Gifts of any size or type will have a major impact. Some examples of gifts you can leave in your will include: A gift of a specific sum designates an amount or lump sum you leave as a gift to Dignitas. A residual gift goes to Dignitas after other commitments have been fulfilled; a residual gift allows you to provide for your loved ones and donate to Dignitas with the remainder. A gift of life insurance donates an insurance policy to Dignitas, or lists Dignitas as a beneficiary or co-beneficiary of your current policy. A gift of property may include real estate, shares, bonds, jewellery, works of art or other items you own that you wish to donate to Dignitas. Sample Residual Gift I give to Dignitas International, currently located at 20 Toronto St., Suite 1220, Toronto, ON, M5C 2B8, % of the rest, residue, and remainder of my estate to be used for its general charitable purposes. Sample Gift of Property I give to Dignitas International, currently located at 20 Toronto St., Suite 1220, Toronto, ON, M5C 2B8, [insert description of property such as real estate, shares, bonds, jewelry, works of art, or other items] to be used in support of its general charitable purposes.
