INFORMATION In se the drin pn heter is used, the jumper JP_DP on the servie PCB on the outdoor unit MUST e ut. After utting the jumper, you MUST reset the outdoor unit to tivte this funtion. The illustrtions in the pplition guidelines re ment for referene only, nd re NOT to e used s detiled hydruli digrms. Setting up the spe heting system The Dikin het pump system supplies leving wter to het emitters in one or more rooms. Beuse the system offers wide flexiility to ontrol the temperture in eh room, you need to nswer the following questions first: How mny rooms re heted y the Dikin het pump system? Under floor heting hs the est performne with Altherm LT. 5.3 Setting up n uxiliry het soure for spe heting Spe heting n e done y: The indoor unit An uxiliry oiler (field supply) onneted to the system When the room thermostt requests heting, the indoor unit or the uxiliry oiler strts operting depending on the outdoor temperture (sttus of the hngeover to externl het soure). When the permission is given to the uxiliry oiler, the spe heting y the indoor unit is turned OFF. Bivlent opertion is only possile for spe heting, NOT for domesti hot wter prodution. Domesti hot wter is lwys produed y the DHW tnk onneted to the indoor unit. INFORMATION During heting opertion of the het pump, the het pump opertes to hieve the desired temperture set vi the user interfe. When wether dependent opertion is tive, the wter temperture is determined utomtilly depending on the outdoor temperture. During heting opertion of the uxiliry oiler, the uxiliry oiler opertes to hieve the desired wter temperture set vi the uxiliry oiler ontroller. However, this onsumes more energy. Dikin reommends to set the desired DHW tnk temperture elow 55 C to void using the eletril resistne. The higher the outdoor temperture, the etter the performne of the het pump. If energy pries re the sme during the dy nd the night, Dikin reommends to het up the DHW tnk during the dy. If energy pries re lower during the night, Dikin reommends to het up the DHW tnk during the night. When the het pump produes domesti hot wter, it nnot het up spe. When you need domesti hot wter nd spe heting t the sme, Dikin reommends to produe the domesti hot wter during the night when there is lower spe heting demnd. Determining the DHW onsumption Answer the following questions nd lulte the DHW onsumption (equivlent hot wter volume t 40 C) using the typil wter volumes: Question How mny showers re needed per dy? During suspend (see "8 Configurtion" on pge 41), the outdoor unit is turned down to redue the stndy energy losses. As result, the outdoor mient temperture is NOT red out. If the desired leving wter temperture is wether dependent, the full time outdoor temperture mesurement is importnt. This is nother reson to instll the optionl outdoor mient temperture sensor. INFORMATION The externl outdoor mient sensor dt (either verged or instntneous) is used in the wether dependent ontrol urves.
