He works with small business owners and individuals with unique tax and business issues. His practice is located near the Sonoma County Airport. He has 4 employees. Gerarde is married with two children. His father, Adolph Moret, Jr. ( ), was the oldest of 5 sons by Adolph Moret Sr and Georgianna Moret. He was born in New Orleans and as a boy was inspired to learn how to fly by the exploits of Charles Lindberg and Bessie Coleman. He learned to fly at West Virginia State College and signed on as a

civilian primary training instructor at Tuskeegee. Some of the planes he flew included the AT-6, PT-17 and the P-40. He had close, personal friendships and associations with Charles (Chief) Anderson, Chappee James (first black 4 star general), and Archie Williams (1936 Olympics) and many others. He enlisted and by the end of the war had earned the rank of 1st Lieutenant. His younger brother, Calvin followed his footsteps and became a fighter pilot at Tuskegee as well. Adolph and his wife Eline married in October 1941 and had 10 children. After the war, he continued to fly for recreational purposes. He had part ownership of several airplanes over the years and was a member of the Pelican Flying Club. He worked for the Post Office for 30 years and afterward got his general contractors license. He and his family moved to Southern California in 1954 and to Santa Rosa in Both Adolph and his brother Calvin* (also a Tuskegee Airman) were recipients of the Congressional Medal of Honor for their participation as Tuskegee Airmen. Edith Roberts Edith Roberts was married to the late Col. George S. Spanky Roberts. Col. Roberts was one of the first African-Americans selected for pilot training at the famed Tuskegee Army Airfield and one of the first five cadets to earn their wings. He commanded the 99th Fighter Squadron and the 332nd Fighter Group, which saw action over North Africa and Italy. After President Harry S. Truman desegregated the armed forces for good in 1948, Roberts became the first African American officer to command a racially-mixed unit at Langley Air Force Base. Edith and George were married when he completed his pilot training. She has lots of memories, newspaper articles, pictures and other memorabilia to share. * Calvin Moret (brother of Adolph Moret) a New Orleans native was a member of the Tuskegee Airmen, the first group of African-American military pilots. He trained in Tuskegee, Ala. in 1943 and 1944, and was commissioned as a flight officer in November of Moret and his fellow airmen received the Congressional Gold Medal in 2007, and he was also in attendance for President Obama's inauguration in Art Cader World War II Pilot Saturday February 12 th - 3pm Piloting a B-24 bomber during World War II Art was sent to Guadalcanal where he participated in 46 Asian-Pacific combat missions. While on the longest bombing mission of the war, more than 15 flying hours, Cader and other pilots of the 5th Bombardment Group came under heavy enemy fire. When the lead

bomber was shot down, Cader, despite damage to his own aircraft, provided cover from enemy fighters for the downed crew until help arrived. For this act of bravery and heroism Cader was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross in a ceremony at Travis Air Force Base Author Jeane Slone Saturday February 26th 3pm Jeane Slone has published the historical fiction She Flew Bombers. She is the daughter of parents who served in the Army during that time. Ms. Slone has flown in a 1918 World War I Curtiss Jenny (one of ten presently airborne). The Arts Council of Sonoma County sponsored her novel and provided a grant to gather six former WWII Women Air force Service Pilots to speak at the Santa Rosa Vets Building about their experiences ferrying planes. There was standing room only. Jeane Slone is a member of Healdsburg Literary Guild, Military Writer s Society of America and Pacific Coast Air Museum. Author Roberto de Haro Assassins' Raid: Killing Admiral Yamamoto by Author de Haro Saturday March 12th 3pm

A novel of daring and danger that follows American Army pilots as they streak over shark-infested waters in the South Pacific to rendezvous with the Japanese bomber carrying the sought-after Admiral Isoroku Yamamoto. Admiral Yamamoto was responsible for the attack on Pearl Harbor that fateful December in While the raid was kept secret for most of the war, a startling controversy developed over who really shot down Yamamoto's plane. Assassins' Raid tells the story of the daring raid by American Army pilots in World War II to intercept and shoot down Admiral Yamamoto's plane in April of It was a remarkable effort and resulted in the death of the Japanese admiral. Thomas McGaw Pilot/Petaluma Airport Ambassador Saturday March 26th 3pm Mr. McGaw will give a history of the airport in Petaluma, how it s managed, what it contributes to the community financially, and some basic operating rules (landing pattern, noise reduction rules etc). He will also discuss how an airplane flies and is controlled by the pilot. Tom King, PhD - Senior Archaeologist, The International Group for Historic Aircraft Recovery (TIGHAR) Saturday April 2nd 4pm TIGHAR (pronounced tiger ) is the acronym for The International Group for Historic Aircraft Recovery, a non-profit foundation dedicated to promoting responsible aviation archaeology and historic preservation. TIGHAR s activities include: 1. Compiling and verifying reports of rare and historic aircraft surviving in remote areas. 2. Conducting investigations and recovery expeditions in co-operation with museums and collections worldwide. 3. serving as a voice for integrity, responsibility, and professionalism in the field of aviation historic preservation.

Author Amelia Earhart's Shoes and Thirteen Bones As seen on the Discovery channel program Finding Amelia, the search for Amelia Earhart. Mr. King has conducted numerous recovery efforts leading to intriguing theories on the whereabouts of Mrs. Earhart. Jack Krout - Air force Colonel, WWII B-24 Pilot Saturday April 9th 3pm The Consolidated B-24 Liberator was an American heavy bomber, designed by Consolidated Aircraft Company of San Diego, California. Its mass production was brought into full force by 1943 with the aid of the Ford Motor Company through its newly constructed Willow Run facility, where peak production had reached one B-24 per hour and 650 per month in Other factories soon followed. The B- 24 ended World War II as the most produced Allied heavy bomber in history, and the most produced American military aircraft at over 18,000 units, thanks in large measure to Henry Ford and the harnessing of American industry. It still holds the distinction as the most-produced American military aircraft. The B-24 was used by several Allied air forces and navies, and by every branch of the American armed forces during the war, attaining a distinguished war record with its operations in the Western European, Pacific, Mediterranean, and China-Burma- India Theaters.
