1 Support for PrestaShop This document explains the necessary steps to offer Amazon Payments on your website. You will need to create an Amazon Payments account and enter your Merchant ID and MWS access keys within PrestaShop. 1. Register for an Amazon Payments account using the following link: Register for Amazon Payments We recommend using a separate login to your personal Amazon shopping account or Amazon Marketplace account (if you have one). Please have the following ready before you begin: Business information Business name, category, sales volume, company registration and ownership information. Place of establishment address. This must be in the United Kingdom, Germany or Luxembourg. VAT registration details if applicable Personal information for yourself as well as all business owners Full name Date and place of birth Country of citizenship Residential address Passport or National Identity card (to be entered later through Seller Central) In addition, you will need: A U.K. or internationally chargeable credit card with a valid billing address. A phone number where you can be reached during this registration process. 2. Verifying your account in Seller Central Once registered, you need to verify your account by logging into Seller Central: Using your and password created in step 1 Ensure you are in the payments.amazon.co.uk area using the dropdown box in the top left of the page. Navigate to Settings > Account Information or use the alert link from the home page. 1

2 2.1 Enter Passport details You will be required to enter passport or national ID information at this stage. Scroll down to Account Status Amazon Payments Europe and select the Edit button. Passport or national ID details will be required for all company owners who own more than 20% of the business. 2.2 Enter Bank Account details To enable funds transfer, you will need to add bank details in Seller Central. Within the Account information page, scroll down to Deposit Method and select Add. From the Global Bank Account Information page, please add: Bank Name, Sort Code & Account Number Bank Account holders Name 2.3 Additional information Your Amazon Payments account will then be submitted for review. During the review process it may be necessary to provide additional information such as recent utility bill or Articles of Association. Please ensure these documents are faxed as soon as possible to speed up the registration process to Finding your Merchant ID This step can be done while the account is pending business verification. 3.1 Select Settings > Checkout Pipeline Settings, provide merchant ID in your PrestaShop backend (see step 5.3) 2

Creating your MWS access keys This step can be done while the account is pending business verification. 4.1 Select Integration > MWS Access Keys 4.2 Select access own Amazon Seller account with MWS and accept the Amazon MWS license. Here are the MWS access keys you should enter into your PrestaShop back end (see step 5.3): 3

4 5. Configuring Amazon Payments in your PrestaShop store once your account has passed Verification: 5.1 The PrestaShop module has been created by MZ Designs. Download the zip file from: Login into your PrestaShop back office. Click the module tab and then the Add new module button. Select the zip file mzamazoncheckout.zip you have just downloaded. And click Upload this module 5.3 Whilst still on the List of modules page, scroll down or search for MZ Amazon Checkout module. If the module does not say Installed please click the install link. The page should refresh and the module will show the green installed badge by the side. Now click on the configure link. 4

5 5.4 Enter your Amazon MWS details which can be accessed from Amazon Seller (found in section 4.2). On the same page you will also find the following options: Sandbox test mode When on all transactions are on the Amazon test servers, so no money changes hands. A good way to test that the module is setup correctly. Send Welcome If the customer didn t register on your website before checking out with Amazon Payments, an account will automatically be created. Selecting this option will send them a password so they can login to your shop to check the progress of their order. 5

6 Use instant order notification Amazon Payments will send the customers details and payment confirmation directly to your store. This requires a valid SSL certificate when not in sandbox (test) mode. If you do not enable this you will have to manually import orders or setup a CRON to process orders. It is highly recommended you keep this option enabled, and invest in a SSL certificate if you don t have one already. Which version of Amazon checkout Please select the country your Amazon seller account is registered with. Enable Debug Mode Enable this if you are having and problems with the module, please contact info@mz-design.co.uk for support. Leave this disabled under normal conditions. Enable Shopping cart compatibility mode If the Amazon checkout button is not working correctly on your basket page enable this option. The incompatibility is usually caused by other third party modules JavaScript code interfering User experience On the shopping cart page a Pay with Amazon button will appear. Clicking this will ask the customer to login and start the checkout process using their Amazon details. There is no need for the customer to register on your website or enter any address details. 6

7 If you enable compatibility mode the button will take you to a blank Amazon checkout page where the customer can start their order. If your customer is already registered, or goes through the checkout process as normal, they can still select Amazon checkout from the payment options along with any other payment modules you have enabled. 7

8 5.6 Common Problems The module doesn t show up after I have uploaded it - Does any other module install? It may be because you haven t set write permissions so PrestaShop cannot write the module to the correct folder. I am updating an old version and the version number stays the same - Prestashop cannot overwrite the files due to permission problems, try deleting the module and re-uploading, or FTP the files. 5.7 Check the cart page of your store. Amazon Payments will now be available and the Pay with Amazon button will be visible once you have passed business verification. 5.8 Amazon Payments Logo Placement: Include the Amazon Payments logo on your website wherever you feature payment providers as well as a banner announcing the introduction of Amazon Payments on your website. Letting customers know about Amazon Payments as early as possible in the shopping process can help increase conversion and reduce cart abandonment. For the latest selection of graphics, please visit You should verify customers can successfully place an order through Amazon Payments and it can be managed correcly. To do this, we recommend placing a test order on your website. Log out of Amazon Seller Central and add at least one item to your PrestaShop cart (ideally take the cheapest item in the shop). Pay with Amazon Payments using an Amazon customer account (not your seller account). After a few minutes the customer account will receive a shipping confirmation from Amazon.
