Interior Decorating 2 Year being launched in the Fall of This program will have pathway opportunities to future Ontario College Graduate Certificates, as well as consideration for bridging into future Degree offerings at Conestoga. Visual Merchandising Arts 2 Year being launched in the Fall of Similar pathway opportunites as Interior Decorating. (see above)

6 KEY FACTS new programs launched - 40% increase in first year applicants - 56% increase in first year enrolment - OCGC Videography with WLB - National and International students KEY FACTS New Media:Digital Convergence program launched - 11% increase in first year applicants - 21% increase in first year confirmed registrations - resulted in a 58% growth in overall enrollment in SOMAD (08/09) - OCGC agreements with WLB (expanded to include 3 streams) - similar agreements with other regional universities

7 NEW PROGRAMS - OCGC in Sports Photography/Videography (SS10) - Applied Degree in Public Relations (F10) - Applied Degree in Graphic Design and Entrepreneurship (F10) - OCGC in Integrated Marketing Communications (F10) - OCGC in TV Mobile (F10) - OCGC in Digital Media (F10) - in Digital Photography (F11) - OCGC in Web Design (F11) Fall 2010 student numbers over 700 with expected growth of 350 students in 2011 and 2012 (target over 1,500 students by 2012) The majority of new programming/growth is in programming that is directly related to emerging media with high levels of integration (skills/knowledge).

8 Initiatives Ontario Skills Explore Design Zoom Conference High School Guidance Counsellors (Annual Conference) Communitech HUB Low to no cost access to target markets to promote your programs and your students for coop and work experience placements. Put them into the real world and let them demonstrate their capabilities. SOMAD has winter work experience opportunities that could position our students into your departments to assist in production of promotional materials in addition you can explore obtaining work studies positions so that you have access to technical resource people throughout the academic year.
