3 LEAD THE WAY WITH ANZ SELF MANAGED SUPER ANZ Self Managed Super helps put you in control of your retirement savings. But that doesn t have to mean you re on your own. We help you stay on top of tax, accounting and other arduous tasks with simple reporting and proactive alerts. We even offer assistance with your self managed super fund(smsf) compliance and reporting. ANZ Self Managed Super helps with: setting up or transferring your SMSF, ongoing administration to ensure your fund remains compliant, consolidated reporting and electronic document storage, support from our dedicated team of SMSF specialists, investment strategy monitoring and alerts; and SMSF tax and accounting services. With ANZ Self Managed Super, all you have to do is focus on making the right decisions for you and your SMSF members. Your dedicated client service representative will work behind the scenes to help you meet your ongoing trustee administration obligations and can make available resources to assist you with your SMSF compliance and reporting obligations. You can sign documents electronically, significantly reducing the amount of time and paperwork usually required. You can also contact us by phone or . REGULAR SMSF REVIEW Your dedicated client service representative will be in regular contact with you throughout the year to discuss the status of your SMSF. These discussions will also cover any changes to your SMSF or investments, particularly in situations where we may need to arrange a new data authority. TECHNICAL SUPPORT Technical specialists will also be available to answer technical questions. ANZ Self Managed Super offers access to a number of specialist third party service providers as part of the complete solution. These include: A legal service provider for the provision and amendment of trust deeds and other legal services (including for example, the establishment of a limited recourse borrowing arrangement) as required. A tax agent for all of your SMSF s taxation needs. An audit service provider for both basic and complex SMSF audit services. Access to term deposits online. Insurance solutions through ANZ s team of financial planners. An actuarial service provider is available if required. 8 GETTING STARTED SETTING UP A NEW SMSF It is quick and easy to set up your SMSF online. Simply go to anz.com/smsf, select Apply now and complete the online application. Once we receive your completed online application, an ANZ Self Managed Super representative will contact you to confirm your application details and support you with the SMSF set-up process. We will arrange for the preparation of all the documentation necessary for establishing your SMSF, including arranging for the submission of the application for your SMSF ABN and GST registration. You will also be forwarded all necessary documentation to set up your SMSF. All you need to do is sign and return the provided documentation to our office. If you require an SMSF trustee company to be incorporated, ANZ Self Managed Super can facilitate this process for you too, including arranging for the submission of the application for the SMSF trustee company s TFN, ABN and GST registration (if required). Once we have set up your SMSF, an SMSF set up package will be forwarded to you, which will include: Trust deed that has been prepared by a legal services provider SMSF trustee company incorporation documents (if applicable) ANZ V2 PLUS Account terms and conditions Online Member Dashboard user guide and password. TRANSFERRING AN EXISTING SMSF If you have an existing SMSF, you can easily transfer administration to ANZ Self Managed Super. We work with you, your adviser, accountant or SMSF administrator to assist with a smooth transition. To commence the transfer of your SMSF, simply go to anz.com/smsf, select Apply now and complete the online application. Once we receive your completed online application, an ANZ Self Managed Super representative will contact you to confirm your application details and support you with the SMSF transition process. A key part of this transition process is the review of your SMSF s current records. If there are any issues identified following our review of your SMSF s records, we ll work with you to successfully resolve them during the transition process. On approving your online application, ANZ Self Managed Super will forward you all documentation necessary to transition your existing SMSF to ANZ Self Managed Super. Simply sign and return the provided documentation to our office. Once we have transitioned your SMSF, an SMSF transition package will be forwarded to you, which will include: 1. A replacement trust deed that has been prepared by a legal services provider at no cost (if requested) 2. ANZ V2 PLUS Account terms and conditions 3. Online Member Dashboard user guide and password. 8

9 YOUR SMSF TRANSACTION ACCOUNT When you become a client of ANZ Self Managed Super, you will be required to establish an ANZ V2 PLUS Account, in the name of your SMSF, to be used as the transactional account for your SMSF. You can use your existing ANZ V2 PLUS Account if you already have one in the name of your SMSF. Documentation to establish an ANZ V2 PLUS Account will be sent to you after you submit your online application to set-up or transition your SMSF. YOUR SMSF TRADING ACCOUNT When you become a client of ANZ Self Managed Super, you may wish to establish an ANZ Share Investing account. This account will be established in the name of your SMSF and it will be your SMSF trading account. Your SMSF must have a share trading account to buy and sell CHESS sponsored Australian shares (but it is not necessary that this account is an ANZ Share Investing account). On receipt of the signed setup documentation and where you have indicated, ANZ Self Managed Super will arrange for an ANZ Share Investing account to be established for your SMSF. YOUR DEDICATED CLIENT SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE You will be allocated a client service representative who will be your first point of contact on all matters relating to the administration of your SMSF. From the outset, your client service representative will be available to guide you through the set-up process and co-ordinate the required documentation. As the person assisting you with the ongoing administration of your SMSF, they will also be in regular contact with you throughout the year, and will always be available to assist you with any questions you may have. ROLLOVERS AND CONTRIBUTIONS Once your SMSF has been established, you can apply to your current superannuation fund to transfer your existing superannuation benefits to your new SMSF. You cannot apply to rollover your existing superannuation benefits, until you have received the SMSF set up package which will include all your SMSF setup details including the SMSF ABN. Note: before you complete a rollover from your other superannuation fund(s), you should ensure you understand the implications of any lost insurance benefits and any exit fees that may be payable. You should seek financial advice if you are unsure of the impacts of a rollover. Once your SMSF has been established, you can also commence making contributions. All contributions must be deposited into the ANZ V2 PLUS Account established for your SMSF. There is only one ANZ V2 PLUS Account established for your SMSF and all members of your SMSF must deposit contributions into the same ANZ V2 PLUS Account. YOUR ONLINE MEMBER DASHBOARD Once we establish your new ANZ Self Managed Super account, we will provide you with a login and password sothat you can access information about your SMSF through the online Member Dashboard at anz.com/smsf You will have access to the online Member Dashboard that includes: Online access to timely investment valuations, contribution amounts and account summaries Online access to documents for members Copies of the SMSF s annual financial statements, annual income tax returns and regulatory returns. You can also request access to be provided to your financial planner or auditor. Please make sure you read our ANZ Self Managed Super online access conditions on page 16. Remember to keep your login and password confidential. 9

Other is defined as any financial institution other than Australia and New Zealand Banking Group Limited products and services or its subsidiary products or services. This is an annual administration fee that applies to each asset in your SMSF s portfolio that requires manual input and verification. II Term deposits being transitioned into the ANZ Self Managed Super Service with a transitioning SMSF attract no additional fee. 11

13 ADDITIONAL EXPLANATION OF FEES AND CHARGES The fees you pay will depend upon your choice of underlying investments and the complexity of your SMSF. We deduct the fees from your ANZ transaction account in accordance with the Direct Debit Agreement entered into when you sign up to ANZ Self Managed Super. This will generally occur on or around the 15th day of the month following the provision of the service to you. All fees payable by you to us are quoted in Australian dollars and are inclusive of GST. START-UP FEES These fees cover the costs of setting up your new SMSF or transferring an existing SMSF and are payable before we initiate the establishment/transition of your SMSF. You will also be required to pay a separate fee before we establish a new corporate trustee (if requested) and trust deed. ADMINISTRATION SERVICE FEES Administration fees These fees cover the ongoing administration of your SMSF (including the taxation services provided to you by registered tax agents). We will deduct the applicable fees from your ANZ V2 PLUS Account each month in arrears from the date of establishment of your SMSF and are payable in equal monthly installments. Administration fees are classified as either Standard SMSF administration fees or Optional extras. Standard SMSF administration fees A flat dollar annual fee designed for SMSFs that utilise any Australia and New Zealand Banking Group Limited (ANZ) or ANZ Subsidiary owned or issued investment and banking products or services. This may include, but is not limited to the following: ANZ V2 PLUS Account ANZ Term Deposits ANZ Share Investing ANZ Wealth (Voyage) Wrap Optional SMSF Administration fees If you choose to use investments and/or assets other than ANZ products or services (or its subsidiary products and services) in your SMSF, Optional SMSF administration fees will apply. The optional SMSF administration fees are categorised and priced as follows: Optional SMSF administration fee where the SMSF holds other financial institution term deposits or cash management accounts. Optional SMSF administration fee where the SMSF holds other financial institution products or investment vehicles such as wraps or online broking accounts. There are no restrictions on the number, the provider or the type of investments that the SMSF can hold (subject to superannuation rules). Optional SMSF administration fee where the SMSF holds other assets that require us to manually input valuation and transactions data e.g. real property, artwork, collectables, units in a private trust or shares in a private company or financial institution term deposit. There is a charge for each additional asset of this type that the SMSF holds. Administration fees are charged in the following manner in the following circumstances: First year funds The first monthly fee is payable in the month following establishment of your SMSF. As the set up process and rollover of monies into the SMSF can take some time, if your SMSF does not have sufficient cash to pay all fees, we will contact you to arrange alternate payment. Existing SMSF transfers to ANZ Self Managed Super The first monthly fee is payable in the month following receipt of your application form. ALL OTHER FEES Other ongoing fees e.g. audit and fees for other services such as LRBA documentation, are payable at the time of using the service. Audit If you request us to arrange this service we will deduct this fee on behalf of the audit provider. There is an additional charge for re-auditing the SMSF if it is necessary to re-work the statutory accounts of the SMSF. The auditor reserves the right to individually negotiate fees for large and complex SMSFs. We will deduct $36.67 each month in arrears (i.e. $440 per annum) from your nominated cash account from the date of establishment of your SMSF. Where the SMSF holds assets other than ANZ products or services (or its subsidiary products or services) and all SMSF data is sourced via data-feeds, an additional payment of $55 will be deducted when the audit is completed. Where some of the SMSF data is sourced manually, an additional payment of $110 will be deducted instead when the audit is completed. Actuarial certificates Where your SMSF is paying a pension, the SMSF may require an actuarial certificate. We will arrange this service and we will deduct this fee on behalf of the actuarial provider. Legal SMSF establishment including trust deeds If you request us to arrange this service we will deduct this fee on behalf of the legal provider. The legal provider reserves the right to individually negotiate fees for large and complex SMSFs. 13

14 ADDITIONAL SERVICES FEES External service providers If you choose to arrange an auditor or legal adviser without our assistance, you must negotiate your own fees with them. In these circumstances, the fees stated in the tables on pages 10 to 12 will not be applicable to you. The fees charged by these external service providers will be deducted from your fund as directed by you/trustee. SMSF Supervisory Levy We will automatically deduct and pay this levy from your ANZ transaction account to the ATO on behalf of the trustees when it falls due this is not a fee of ANZ Self Managed Super Limited. LRBA legal costs and establishment of corporate trustee for the borrowing trust (optional) The fees stated in the tables on pages 10 to 12 cover the legal costs for a standard LRBA arrangement from the legal services provider. However setting up an SMSF borrowing arrangement can be complex and may require direct legal support. If you require support, we can arrange advice through the legal services provider who will provide you with a fee estimate. We will deduct any legal fees on behalf of the legal services provider. Advice fees You may agree to pay your financial planner an upfront and/or ongoing advice fee. We can help you make these payments by deducting the advice fee from your SMSF and paying this on your behalf to your financial planner s licensee. However any asset based percentage ongoing advice fee will not apply to any amount that you borrow for investment under a limited recourse borrowing arrangement. This is not a fee payable to ANZ Self Managed Super Limited. Please discuss the payment arrangements with your financial planner. Additional fees We may charge additional fees on more complex SMSFs. We will discuss these with you in advance, if relevant. OTHER IMPORTANT INFORMATION Provision of the service ANZ Self Managed Super is offered by ANZ Self Managed Super Limited, ACN an authorised representative of RI Advice Group Pty Ltd ABN AFSL which is a member of the ANZ group of companies. ANZ Self Managed Super Limited currently engages SuperIQ Pty Ltd ABN to provide the software and related services in relation to ANZ Self Managed Super. ANZ Self Managed Super Limited reserves the right to replace SuperIQ Pty Ltd, or any other service provider, at any time. Commission and brokerage paid by service providers ANZ Self Managed Super Limited currently has arrangements in place to receive commission or brokerage if you decide to use certain services (for example, legal or audit services). This is not an additional charge to your SMSF. Changes to fees and costs Fees and costs may vary over time due to changes to ANZ Self Managed Super, changes to market or economic conditions, changes in law or where third parties impose or increase their charges. If we decide to increase any of the fees set out in the tables on pages 10 to 12, or introduce new fees, we will provide you with at least 30 days prior notice of the change. Payment to other service providers or agents We may pay other service providers and third parties who support ANZ Self Managed Super (for example, a registered tax agent to provide the taxation services). These payments will come from the fees disclosed in the tables on pages 10 to 12 and do not represent an additional charge to you. Taxation services All taxation services offered as part of ANZ Self Managed Super will be provided to you by Corporate Custodians Pty Limited ABN , agent number (a registered tax agent). Your instructions Generally, we should receive all instructions for your SMSF from you. However, we will also accept instructions from your nominated representative (discussed on the next page). You will be able to provide instructions online through the online Member Dashboard. All instructions must originate from an address that we recognise to be yours or that of your nominated representative. Phone. In all cases you agree to indemnify us against all losses and liabilities arising from any actions we undertake based on any instruction (even if not genuine) that we believe to be yours or that of your nominated representative. We will not, in our sole discretion, act on instructions if they are not clear, complete or otherwise in accordance with the terms of this agreement or any laws. We will advise you or your nominated representative if we will not act on any such instruction and we do not accept any liability (including liability for negligence) for instructions we do not implement in these circumstances. However, we do not need instructions to make deductions from your ANZ V2 PLUS Account from time to time to satisfy any obligation or outstanding amount (including our fees). 14

15 NOMINATED REPRESENTATIVE You can appoint your financial planner, auditor or any other person as your nominated representative nominated representative to act as the main point of contact for providing us with instructions regarding your SMSF. To appoint a nominated representative you must provide us with a written nomination that both you and the nominated representative sign and date. The application process for ANZ Self Managed Super allows you to do this. You should also note that: You can cancel the appointment of your nominated representative at any time by giving us written notice. You are responsible for anything that your nominated representative does on your behalf. If someone whom we reasonably believe to be your nominated representative acts on your behalf, we ll treat it as if you are acting personally. PRIVACY In this section, we, us and our refers to ANZ Self Managed Super Limited, RI Advice Group Pty Limited and other members of the ANZ Group. We are committed to ensuring the confidentiality and security of your personal information. Our Privacy Policy details how we manage your personal information and is available on request or may be downloaded from anz.com/privacy Our main purpose in collecting personal information from you is to establish and/or administer your SMSF and we may need to disclose it to third parties. If you choose not to provide the information necessary to process your application, then we may not be able to process it. There may be occasions when we need to source personal information about you from a third party. For example, we may collect personal information from a credit reporting agency, our business alliance partners, third party brokers and government agencies. Unless you consent to these disclosures we will not be able to consider the information you have provided or sourced from a third party. PROVIDING YOUR INFORMATION TO OTHERS We may need to disclose your information to certain third parties. The parties to whom we may routinely disclose your personal information include: to other members of the ANZ group, to your financial planner or broker (if any), to external service suppliers who supply administrative, financial, taxation or other services to support the ongoing administration of your SMSF, to anyone you authorise, or regulatory bodies, government agencies, law enforcement bodies and courts. We will also disclose your personal information in circumstances where we are required by law to do so. Example of such law is the disclosure obligations to third parties under the Anti-Money Laundering and Counter- Terrorism Financing Act OVERSEAS RECIPIENTS We or ANZ may disclose information to recipients (including service providers and related companies) which are (1) located outside Australia and/or (2) not established in or do not carry on business in Australia. You can find details about the location of these recipients in our Privacy Policy and at anz.com/privacy INFORMATION REQUIRED BY LAW We may be required by relevant laws to collect certain information from you. PRIVACY CONSENT We and other members of the ANZ Group may send you information about our financial products and services from time to time. 16 PRIVACY POLICY Our Privacy policy contains information about: when we or ANZ may collect information from a third party; how we may access and seek correction of the personal information we hold about you; and how you can raise concerns that we or ANZ has breached the Privacy Act or an applicable code and how we and/or ANZ will deal with those matters. You may generally access personal information about you held by the ANZ group. If any of your personal information is incorrect or has changed, or your have a query relating to privacy, please let us know by contacting the person, department or branch that you normally deal with or call the ANZ Australian Contact Centre on , 24 hours a day, seven days a week. You may obtain a copy of the ANZ Privacy Policy Statement by contacting us on or visiting anz.com IDENTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS The Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorism Financing Act 2006 (Cth) requires us to identify you and verify your identity before we can provide you with certain prescribed services and we collect certain personal information from you to comply with these requirements. You must complete the identification and verification process. In most cases we will validate your identity automatically via the ATO SuperTIC service. If we are unable to verify your identity and you do not provide identifying documents, we will not be able to provide you with prescribed services. We may also request further information from you. You must provide all information to us, which we reasonably require in order to manage our anti-money laundering, terrorism-financing or economic and trade sanctions risk or to comply with any laws or regulations in Australia or any other country. We may disclose information to any law enforcement, regulatory agency or court as required by applicable laws and regulations. We may delay, block or refuse to process any transaction without incurring any liability if we suspect that: a. the transaction may breach any laws or regulations in Australia or any other country b. the transaction involves any person (natural, corporate or governmental) that is itself sanctioned or is connected, directly or indirectly, to any person that is sanctioned under economic and trade sanctions imposed by the United States of America, the European Union or any country c. the transaction may directly or indirectly involve the proceeds of, or be applied for the purposes of, conduct which is unlawful in Australia or any other country. OTHER IMPORTANT INFORMATION ADMINISTRATION SERVICES GUIDE This Administration Services Guide, the Financial Services Guide and your completed application (which includes a copy of the terms and conditions relating to ANZ Self Managed Super) together make up the legally binding agreement between you and us ( Agreement ). We encourage you to read all documents carefully to ensure that ANZ Self Managed Super is appropriate for you and your SMSF. By submitting your application, you will be liable for the fees payable for using ANZ Self Managed Super. You will be liable both personally and in your capacity as a trustee, or director of the corporate trustee of your SMSF (including any newly established SMSF). VARIATION OF AGREEMENT We can generally amend this Agreement immediately by notifying you of any changes. However, if we consider the amendment to be materially adverse to your interests we will give you 30 days prior written notice. ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS & REPRESENTATIONS ANZ Self Managed Super online access conditions The ANZ Self Managed Super online Member Dashboard is owned and operated by SuperIQ Pty Ltd. Information about the terms of use is available on anz.com/smsf The following conditions apply: You can access information with a Login ID and internet password. You remain responsible for keeping your internet password confidential. We will give anyone access to your information who uses your Login ID and internet password or who complies with any other security procedure that we may use. Any action by that person will be taken to be by you and will be binding on you. You must tell us immediately if you suspect that any unauthorised person has access to your Login ID or password. We can only accept responsibility for the reliability of data and information that is within our control. We are not responsible for transmissions of any computer virus or other unwanted programs or information from or associated with your ANZ Self Managed Super online access or use. We are not responsible for the accuracy or content of information or material that we provide, which you then change and give to a third party or where you give such information in a different form from what was in the ANZ Self Managed Super online Member Dashboard. We may suspend or cancel your access to your online Member Dashboard but will give you notice beforehand, if possible. We may vary these conditions from the time but will notify you. 16

You authorise us and any agent we may appoint to use your personal information for the delivery of the ANZ Self Managed Super online Member Dashboard. You acknowledge that anything associated with or available through the ANZ Self Managed Super online Member Dashboard belongs to us or other third parties and is protected by intellectual property rights. You release, discharge and indemnify ANZ Self Managed Super Limited and the ANZ group from and against all liabilities and costs (including legal costs) incurred by you, ANZ Self Managed Super Limited, the ANZ group, as a result (direct or indirect) of your use of (or inability to use) the ANZ Self Managed Super online Member Dashboard. Trustee acknowledgements You, as trustee of your SMSF, acknowledge that: ANZ Self Managed Super Limited is only responsible for providing the administration services described in this Administration Services Guide and is not responsible for the management of your SMSF or compliance of your SMSF with superannuation law and does not provide advice on aspects of SMSF compliance to you. ANZ Self Managed Super Limited provides guidance only to help you in the administration of your SMSF and you should obtain professional advice regarding your specific obligations about the management and compliance of your SMSF. ANZ Self Managed Super Limited is not responsible for the delivery or performance of any of the products or services that you may use or engage or that are arranged by ANZ Self Managed Super Limited on your behalf. ANZ Self Managed Super Limited has arranged for Corporate Custodians Pty Limited ACN , agent number (a registered tax agent), to provide those services to you. Trustee undertakings You, as trustee, undertake to: ensure that you register all SMSF investments in the trustee s name. ensure that ANZ Self Managed Super Limited is the sole administrator of the investments of your SMSF. immediately notify ANZ Self Managed Super Limited in writing if you receive a determination that your SMSF is non-complying or for any reason ceases to exist or of any other matter that may affect the administration of the SMSF. Termination of Agreement Unless otherwise stated, either party may terminate this Agreement by giving the other party 30 days written notice. We may terminate this Agreement at any time without notice if you breach your obligations to us (and you have not rectified the breach within 30 days notice from us) or become insolvent or of unsound mind. The Agreement will also cease after we finalise the SMSF accounts following the death of the last member of the SMSF. If this Agreement terminates, we will deem this to be an instruction to finalise any incomplete aspects of your instructions, to continue to deduct our usual fees and charges until we transfer all your records to the trustees (or their nominee), and to deduct any outstanding service fees and charges. Following termination of this Agreement, we will prepare and promptly deliver stored data, files and related material regarding the SMSF s administration, in our preferred format, to the trustees or their nominee. Where this Agreement terminates by a request to wind up the SMSF or transfer to another administrator, we may also charge you certain fees. 20 INTRODUCTION PURPOSE AND CONTENT OF THIS DOCUMENT This Financial Services Guide (FSG) is designed to assist you in deciding whether to use any of the services offered by ANZ Self Managed Super Limited (ANZ Self Managed Super) under this FSG. It provides you with an understanding of what to expect from your interaction with ANZ Self Managed Super. This FSG contains information about: the services provided by ANZ Self Managed Super it outlines the kinds of services it is authorised to provide under RI Advice Group Pty Ltd (RI Advice) s Australian financial services licence; the remuneration received by ANZ Self Managed Super and other relevant persons it outlines the remuneration ANZ Self Managed Super, its staff and other relevant persons receive in connection with the financial services it provides; and ANZ Self Managed Super s complaints process it describes how ANZ Self Managed Super deals with complaints you may have about its services as well as providing key contact details to communicate a complaint. You will typically receive an FSG when ANZ Self Managed Super provides you with financial product information or where it arranges for you to acquire a financial product. OTHER DOCUMENTS YOU MAY RECEIVE ANZ Self Managed Super facilitates the provision of administration services to the trustees of self managed superannuation funds (Service). Details of the Service and any associated fees and charges that ANZ Self Managed Super receives for providing the Service will be contained in the Administration Services Guide for the Service, which is provided with this FSG. In addition, you may access financial products or services through the Service. If this occurs, you will be provided with a Product Disclosure Statement (or another form of disclosure document) for a financial product and you may be provided with a Financial Services Guide from the provider of such financial products or services. A Product Disclosure Statement contains general information about the financial product including: the terms and conditions for the product; any significant risks associated with holding the product; information about the cost of the product; and details of fees and charges the product provider receives for issuing the product. You may receive a Product Disclosure Statement (or another form of disclosure document) when a financial adviser provides personal advice recommending a product to you or you are issued with a product. If you receive personal advice from your financial adviser, then you will also receive a Statement of Advice from your financial adviser. A Statement of Advice is a record of the personal advice that you have received as well as the information that advice was based on. ANZ Self Managed Super is not authorised by RI Advice to provide personal advice to you. This means that ANZ Self Managed Super does not take account of your personal needs, financial situation or objectives when providing the Services to you.
