3 Since 1969, when Serac released the very first weight filler for milk, it has not stopped inventing new devices to make the filling of dairy products better, safer, easier and more economical. Today Serac has a leading position in the development of new technologies linked to the ESL and aseptic filling of dairy products in stable containers. Serac continues at the same pace with R&D and will remain a major trendsetter in the industry. Serac has designed a large range of filling and capping machines able to cover all types of dairy products from fresh milk to aseptically filled products. The chart below shows the different technologies that can be used according to the expected shelf life required. For any of these five possibilities, Serac will have the perfect answer in terms of equipment and engineering. 4 Fresh or pasteurized products and sterilized milk Very clean filling. No spillage on the container transfer platform. Paying careful attention to the requirements expressed by its customers, Serac has developed a range of machines for fresh, ultra fresh and sterilized products with outputs ranging from 1,800 to 36,000 containers per hour with a permanent concern for hygiene, component reliability and ease of use. Canopy Up to 18,000 bottles per hour (1L) This machine can be fitted with a heatsealing carrousel or with a screw capper. Container transfer by the neck or by the base Canopy is a machine which is both versatile and accurate, requires limited floor space and contains simple and inexpensive mechanical and electronic sub-assemblies. Very good visibility and accessibility of the filling and capping units.

5 Fresh or pasteurized products and sterilized milk RB/RT Heatsealing Serac has developed a heatsealing system allowing for perfect sealing and a good peelability. There is individual control of the temperature, the pressure and the heatsealing time for each head regardless of the machine rotation speed. The two parameters temperature and time are independently monitored. The data is displayed on screen. Presses can achieve 600 bottles per minute, producing a skirted foil cap which is perfectly centered. 6 Extended Shelf Life (ESL) The extension of a dairy products shelf life to 30, 60 or 90 days could represent a significant economic advantage for a dairy company. Serac offers tailor-made solutions according to the type of treatment received by the milk (pasteurization, high pasteurization, ultra pasteurization, UHT, ). With identical systems, the result can actually vary according to two factors which are the initial contamination level of the raw milk and the quality of the cold chain. In any case the treatment is always adapted to their shape and material. Container treatment Containers can arrive at the filling machine with an open neck, receive a treatment with sterile water, go through a decontamination process with chemicals and be rinsed with sterile water.
