(Maori Greeting) NOVEMBER 21, 2016 Day 01 Arrival to Christchurch Christchurch, New Zealand s Garden city, is considered the most English city outside of England. Originally a city planned around the Cathedral Square, it boasts beautiful stone buildings, and an abundance of gardens. Upon our arrival into Christchurch, we have a group transfer to our hotel. (In-flight Service) Please note: Clients participating in our Australia tour will be flying from Sydney to Christchurch, on this day. Day 02 Cont d We will see the statue of Sir Edmund Hillary which overlooks the very mountains that Hillary used to hone his skills, before his historic climb in Mt Cook National Park. Seeing the mountains for yourself, and the statue of the man, gives you a new sense of his achievement. Following our visit to Mount Cook village, we journey to our hotel, having time to relax before tonight s tasty Carvery Buffet dinner. (B / D) NOVEMBER 22, 2016 Day 02 Christchurch / Omarama We will depart Christchurch, following our tasty breakfast. This morning, we begin our New Zealand journey, driving south to Omarama, with lunch at own expense en-route. Photo stops enroute include: Church Of The Good Shepherd and Statue of the Sheep Dog located on the shore of Lake Tekapo. We will also enjoy a photo stop at Lake Pukaki which offers a great view of Aoraki Mount Cook. We visit Mount Cook Village with spectacular views of Aoraki Mount Cook, New Zealand s tallest mountain, and the surrounding National Park / World Heritage Area. NOVEMBER 23, 2016 Day 03 Omarama / Te Anau Following our delicious cooked breakfast, we depart via the Lindis Pass, Cromwell, and the outskirts of Queenstown to Te Anau. Photo stops today include the famous AJ Hacket Bungee Jump site, the world's original bungee jumping experience. Make sure to have your camera ready as you watch someone, take the ultimate challenge. Keep your eyes open this afternoon; you may catch a glimpse of the Kingston Flyer this is New Zealand s famous vintage steam train. TE ANAU is the home of one of New Zealand s deepest lakes. It was formed by glacial movement during the development of New Zealand. Te Anau is the gateway to the Fiordland National Park, the largest National Park in New Zealand. 5 NOVEMBER 24, 2016 Day 04 Te Anau / Milford Sound / Queenstown Today, is a highlight of our New Zealand vacation! Following breakfast, we will enjoy a day of spectacular scenery as we journey into the Magnificent Milford Sound. We will coach via the Road to Milford to Milford Sound. En-route, we view such wonders as Eglington Valley, Mirror Lakes, Knobs Flat, Christy Falls and The Chasm as well as drive through the Historic Homer Tunnel. Our destination is Milford Sound, which is the northern most of 14 fiords that make up the spectacular coastline of Fiordland National Park, part of Te Wahipounamu World Heritage Area. Upon our arrival, we board our Milford Sound Cruise Ship and travel the 16km length of Milford Sound to the Tasman Sea, and back. We enjoy stunning views and awesome photo opportunities of the fiord, Mitre Peak and numerous Water Falls from our cruise ship. Mitre Peak, dominating the skyline at 1692m, a pinnacle of rock that forms the world's highest sea cliff, is one of the most photographed mountains in New Zealand. While sailing the fiord we will be sure to enjoy an on-board Buffet Lunch. During our cruising, we may also see dolphins, New Zealand Fur Seals, two species of Penguins and enjoy the highlight of our sailing as our cruise ship sails beneath the spectacular Bowen Waterfall. A memorable day! Following our Milford Cruise, we re-board our coach, and travel to Queenstown. (B / L) QUEENSTOWN was the scene of the gold-rush in the Shotover District in the late 1900 s. With the sheep runs that were worked on the surrounding hills, the picturesque lake and snow topped mountains, she was pronounced a town fit for any Queen, and so was named Queenstown. NOVEMBER 25, 2016 Day 05 Day at Leisure in Queenstown This is a relaxing day at leisure to enjoy the excitement and activities available in this fabulous alpine lakeside resort. (own expense) There are a host of activities to take advantage of on your Free Day. You may wish to venture up Bob s Peak via the scenic Gondola cableway for a stunning view of the Queenstown, try your luck at the Casino, ride the wild jet boat just to name a few or perhaps simply enjoy shopping at the numerous stores. If you like to shop - there is a wide range of New Zealand-made goods in Queenstown, with many unique designs and hand-made items, you won t see elsewhere. New Zealand is famous for its quality wool, leather, deerskin, excellent outdoor gear & the unique blue pearl. Whether it be golfing, jet boating, steamship cruising, or just relaxing, you will be sure to make the most of this time on your own, or you can also join Ron. (Ron has been here numerous times) For those who enjoy people watching over a coffee, at the many coffee shops, the time is yours! The outdoor mall located only a short walk from our hotel. A fun-filled evening lies ahead!! This evening, we will meet in the hotel lobby and walk to the Steamer Wharf, where we aboard the Vintage Steamship the T.S.S. Earnslaw. Affectionately known as the Lady of the Lake, the TSS Earnslaw has a special place in the hearts of Queenstown people. She has been transporting goods to remote settlements and conveying passengers on beautiful Lake Wakatipu, dating back to We will have an opportunity to stroll the decks of this historic ship and take in magnificent views as we cross the lake. A warm welcome awaits us as we disembark at Walter Peak Sheep Station, a famous old sheep station founded in We will enjoy high country hospitality and a Buffet Dinner at the historic Colonel s Homestead. Following dinner, we will experience a sheep dog and sheep sheering demonstration, before reboarding the Earnslaw. 6 NOVEMBER 26, 2016 Day 06 Queenstown / Fox Glacier / Franz Josef Glacier Following breakfast in the hotel, we depart Queenstown and commence our journey. Following the shores of Lake Wanaka, we will travel through the Kawarau Gorge, continuing alongside the fast-flowing Kawarau River. Dramatic mountain and forest scenery is incredible, as we climb over the Haast Pass. When we arrive at Fox Glacier, we will take a short walk to view the Glacier. Time and weather permitting we may also have an opportunity to see Franz Josef Glacier. FOX GLACER & FRANZ JOSEF GLACIER were both originally named in honor of Queen Victoria and her consort, Prince Albert. However, when an Austrian Explorer came to climb and explore the glaciers, he named one of them, Franz Josef, after the then Emperor of Austria In addition, today, we will also enjoy views of the Tasman Sea and a photo stop at Knights Point Lookout. Our dinner this evening is enjoyed in the comfort of our hotel. (B / D) NOVEMBER 27, 2016 Day 07 Franz Josef / Christchurch This morning, following our tasty breakfast, we will depart and travel north. Nowhere else outside the polar regions are there glaciers so close to sea level. As we are continuing North, we may have a chance to View the Magnificent Franz Josef Glacier, as this great river of ice pushes its way from the snowfields down to the Tasman Sea. Traveling onwards to Hokitika. there is an opportunity for a brief Visit to see Beautiful Native Greenstone (jade) Jewelry and Artifacts at the Greenstone Factory/Carvers. We will stop for our lunch in Hokitika enroute to Arthur's Pass. (lunch at own expense) Excitement!! We will now board Award-winning Tranz Alpine Train, renowned as New Zealand s Great Rail Adventure! Day 07 Cont d The Tranz Alpine Express Train has been voted as one of the top six rail journeys in the world. We will enjoy a memorable and unforgettable journey crossing the patchwork farmland of the Canterbury Plains before winding its way over massive viaducts, and spectacular river gorges. You may like to venture to the open air viewing carriage, where you can enjoy stunning and breathtaking views, as we travel to the alpine village of Arthur's Pass. We travel through several tunnels including one that is 18km long, one of the longest in the world. We will enjoy a wonderful journey through spectacular alpine scenery in the Southern Alps as we cross from one coast of New Zealand to the other. We arrive at the Christchurch Railway Station where our coach driver is waiting to transfer us to our hotel. For our every comfort, tonight s dinner will be in the comforts of our hotel. (B / D) NOVEMBER 28, 2016 Day 08 Christchurch Following breakfast, we will commence with a Guided Half Day sightseeing tour of Christchurch. Sightseeing will include: Cathedral Square, and to the Arts Buildings, before viewing Mona Vale Historic Homestead Grounds, Haley Park and driving up into the Cashmere Hill for stunning views of the city, Canterbury Plains, and the Southern Alps in the distance. This afternoon is Free at Leisure. You may enjoy a leisurely walk around town with Ron, shopping or you might enjoy a visit to the Canterbury Museum. You are never alone ask Ron to join you! The Canterbury Museum in Christchurch, New Zealand, is set in the grounds of the Christchurch Botanic Gardens close to the city centre. Founded in 1867, the Canterbury Museum is the repository of more than 2 million items of New Zealand -- particularly the Canterbury region's -- cultural and natural history. Another fun option is the Christchurch City Tram Loop. The Tramway is a quality inner city tour experience that combines the heritage of the trams, attractions and historic buildings with the culture of the Garden City. It is definitely a joy to ride the 2.5 km track through the central city in these beautifully restored heritage trams.

7 Day 08 Cont d You may also enjoy a visit to the International Antarctic Center, a winner of the New Zealand Tourism Board's award for 'Best Visitor Attraction'. It recreates the atmosphere of Antarctica and provides you with an interactive exciting experience of this Southern Continent, which very few people have the opportunity to experience first hand. There are plenty of parks and gardens to stroll through. You may like to take a punt on the Avon River, or explore the inner city on the Christchurch Tram. Tonight, we will enjoy a group Dinner at local Restaurant. (B / D) NOVEMBER 29, 2016 Day 09 Christchurch / Rotorua We will be enjoying a short flight (priced separately) to Rotorua. Upon our arrival, we will transfer by coach, to our conveniently located hotel. This afternoon is at leisure, to explore the many shops, visit the nearby Polynesia Thermal Hot Pool Spa which offers several outdoor hotel pools at various temperatures. Or you may like to wander through the city s rose garden and Lakeshore Park. Tonight, is an evening of enjoyment, as we meet the People of the Land at Mitai Maori Village. The Mitai Family endeavours to bring the most authentic Maori Cultural experience in New Zealand today. This experience includes the world famous Fairy Spring, the Maori War Canoe (waka) paddle-by, Maori Song and Dance (haka) Show and traditionally cooked Hangi Dinner. A truly unique and awe inspiring experience. (B / D) ROTORUA is a geothermal spa town, built on the edge of Lake Rotorua. The healing qualities of its thermal waters have brought visitors to Rotorua for many years. Mount Tarawera overlooks Rotorua, and last erupted in June of Much of the thermal activity in the area has some connection with this last eruption. NOVEMBER 30, 2016 Day 10 Rotorua / Auckland Following our cooked breakfast, we now depart the hotel for an exciting and fun day ahead. Our sightseeing today includes a visit to the Agrodome, New Zealand s Farm Show, an amazing display of sheep shearing, trained working sheep dogs and pastoral exhibitions. This is a very entertaining agricultural show. Here, we will enjoy meeting representatives of New Zealand s sheep breeds in this interesting show. We will also learn how the sheep dogs actually work the sheep, and meet other members of New Zealand s farming family. In the afternoon, we set out to visit the Te Puia Thermal Reserve, home of the Maori Arts / Crafts Institute & Thermal Reserve. We will Experience A Guided Tour of silica terraces, bubbling hot mud pools, boiling springs and geysers including the famous Pohutu Geyser. This afternoon, we will depart Rotorua and make our way for the capital of New Zealand: Auckland, the largest Polynesian city in the World. AUCKLAND an exciting, sporting and cultural city, sprawled on a narrow isthmus, between two harbours. The Waitemata and Manukau Harbours, are a main feature of the city, along with numerous volcanic cones such as Mount Eden and Rangitoto Island Our hotel is in a fantastic location. 8 DECEMBER 01, 2016 Day 11 Auckland Good morning! Following breakfast, we depart on a Full Day Guided Tour of Auckland, New Zealand's largest city. We will see first-hand, why Auckland is known as the City of Sails, as we enjoy a coach drive over the Harbour Bridge. Our tour will take us along the scenic waterfront route of Tamaki Drive and Paritai Drive Millionaires Street, Victoria Park Market, the American Express Viaduct location of the last America s Cup where there are an impressive array of yachts and recreational motor launches. We will also drive along Queen Street Auckland s main shopping and business district. This afternoon we will enjoy our Special Farewell Group Lunch. Following lunch, we will visit the Maori Court at the Auckland War Memorial Museum, where there is a superb collection of Maori artifacts including a large and magnificent carved Maori war canoe launched in We now return to our Auckland hotel.
