1 INSPIRE QUEENSLAND: CHURCH PLANTING SUMMIT MAY 2015 QCCC TAMBORINE Tamborine Lodge Beacon Road, North Tamborine, Queensland A CHURCH PLANTING TEAMS CONFERENCE: The Inspire Summit is our MTQ conference for Church Planters and their team of key leaders: for those who are in the middle of doing it for those who are still in the planning and discernment stage. For Pastors and leaders of churches who are planning to sponsor a new church plant. We are seeking to invest in you and your team to inspire, encourage, equip and refresh you as you plant new faith communities. We want to help you reach your full potential and accomplish all that God is calling you to. At the conference there will be a balance between input with discussion and time for you and your team to work on how it impacts your own context and plans. There will also be plenty of time for networking with other planters and teams to hear their stories and share ideas. There will be three streams in the conference, one for those who are planting Complex churches along more traditional models, one for those planting Simple churches that are more organically based and one for those who just Starting Out and are still exploring the possibility. MTQ will be subsidising the cost for each participant for the three days and will also subsidise travel costs for those coming from outside the south east corner of Queensland. Come as a team for an experience together that will be: Inspiring Fuel up with practical and Biblical input, be encouraged by the stories of other like minded people Equipping Be given tools to work on your plan for planting together Coaching and Networking Access the wisdom of those who have already done it and those still experimenting, as you and your team dream and plan together Recharging Break the pace for a couple of days & invest in your own growth & health

2 As you will know the most significant advances take place when a whole team is involved rather than a leader coming back from a conference and trying to communicate their experience to others. I am therefore encouraging you to put the challenge to your key leadership team to invest in this team conference together and expect God to reveal more of his purpose and plan to you all. It will also be a great opportunity to network together with like minded people who share a passion for making new disciples for Jesus through starting new faith communities. For many of your team it will require some sacrifice to be there mid week (Mon-Wed) - organising a few RDOs or a few days leave, but the benefits to the cause will be worth it. Please don t decide for them but rather pass on the information and see if they feel God challenging them to make it a priority. Come up to the mountain top together and expect God to speak into your planting venture for Him. CATERING FOR FAMILIES: Whilst most of the formal sessions will be geared to adults, we aim to make the conference family friendly for those who want or need to bring their children and will organise a program for them when we have an idea of how many and what ages they are. 3 INFORMATION ON OUR COACHES: Ron and Paula Turner Ron and Paula come from a non-churched non-christian background and are passionate about bridging the gap between God and people. They have being planting churches for the past 23 years throughout Queensland. They have lived on faith based support during this time and are presently establishing a network of groups throughout the west of Queensland focused on making disciples that multiply out of the harvest. Ron is qualified plumber as well as an accredited minister with Queensland Baptists and they are both on team with the Praxeis movement committed to establishing simple churches throughout Australia and the nations of the world. They have been married for 32 years and have 2 married daughters and one and a half grandchildren. Andrew Turner Andrew Turner is Church Development Facilitator with Baptist Churches of SA. He is the author of the SacredAgents.net blog and his new book Fruitful Church. Married to Cathy with 3 cheeky kids, Andrew replanted and for 11 years pastored Glen Osmond Baptist Church, during which time it planted several churches in turn. He and his family have now joined a team to missionally reinvigorate a small church in West Beach SA. Andrew writes and speaks passionately about evangelism, discipleship, ministry development and church planting. He enjoys most sports as well as history, all kinds of puzzles and board games.
