EXPLORE REMOTE NORDIC LANDS. ENTER THE WILDERNESS. HEAR THE SILENCE. EXPERIENCE LUXURY ACTION. LUXURY ACTION is the leading DMC based in Finnish Lapland. We create exclusive experiences and expeditions across the Arctic: Lapland, Finland and the rest of the Nordic region. At LUXURY ACTION we believe in the new luxury travel, combining authentic environment and eco-luxury to high-end hospitality. In addition to traditional booking services, such as arranging luxury accommodation, VIP tickets or yacht charter, LUXURY ACTION prides itself for creating experiences of a lifetime, including, but not limited to: Wilderness camp: luxurious wilderness accommodation in your chosen, remote location Wildlife spotting: in search of the kings of our Nordic forests; reindeer, elk, brown bear, wolf, lynx and wolverine Survival camp: set your family off on an adventure, learn to survive in the wilderness and get acquainted with your inner explorer Culinary experiences: get familiar with picking berries, mushroom & wild herbs or fishing - and learn to cook your catch outdoors with our chef Ice driving: we re the only operator offering ice driving around the year Snowmobile expedition to the Barent s Sea or Three-Country Cairn Polar nights: experience how light our darkness is Photography tour with an expert on Arctic landscape, wildlife or Northern Lights Midsummer: the magic of Arctic summers when the sun doesn t set below horizon National parks: hear the sound of silence in our vast, unexplored wilderness Sámi Culture: learn about the Arctic lifestyle from Sámi, the indigenous people inhabiting Lapland
AND THE LIFE BEGINS In spring, when the days are getting longer, the nature is waking up from its long hibernation. You can physically see the new life reaching out to the sun, and hear the snow and ice giving in. The life and sounds return to our frozen lands; the carol of migrating birds filling our forests, cubs and calves are born in the wild, butterflies trying out their delicate wings, melt water rushing underneath the breaking ice. The entire landscape is rapidly changing from pure white to bright green. THE TIME THAT STOPPED The sun no longer sets behind the horizon, midnight sun giving the landscape a magical shine. The warmth of the Arctic summers and the plentiful flowers in all colours imaginable, will not stop surprising. Wherever you lay your eyes on, there s another glittering lake to bath in crystal clear water. One can hike days in untouched Nordic wilderness without coming across with another wanderer. The signs of civilisation have long been left behind. The time, the uttermost luxury of our lives, has stopped.
THE NATIVES NATURAL SWIMMING POOLS NORDIC CULINARY EXPERIENCES 1. Only in Finland alone there s about lakes 2. In many parts of Lapland there are more reindeer than people 3. The sun rising above the horizon brings life back to the Arctic 4. Smoke & flames give the Nordic cuisine its distinct flavour 5. Nordic coastline is dotted with wooden, tarred rowing boats TRADITIONAL TRANSPORT
NORDIC SUPERFOOD ARCTIC DARKNESS PLAYING IN THE SNOW OUR NATIONAL HERO
NATURE S NEW CLOTHES In autumn, when the days start to get shorter, Mother Nature goes wild with the colours. She splashes all shades of red, orange and yellow all over her, painting everything painfully pretty. The nights are already dark, lit by the starry sky dancing with the Northern Lights. The air, so fresh and clean, is inviting you outdoors. Forests are rich in superfood, and it s time to stock up for winter. THE SILENCE When the first snow falls, you can feel nature taking deep breaths, like in a preparation for a long sleep. It begins with a few flakes, whirling around in the air, until falling down, soon covering the earth with a warm, luminous blanket. As the landscape goes from colours to white, you can hear the sound of silence, and feel the stillness of snowy Nordic lands. You are about to discover the lightness of Arctic darkness. 1. The wintery look of Lapland in early afternoon 2. Nordic people still live out from the forests 3. The lightness of the Arctic night sky is surprising 4. Our lakes get a new function in the winter 5. In Lapland, Santa is an all-year-round thing
