The UniGas 3000 and UniGas 4000 project is in response to market demands and it is the result of Eurotron s efforts in research and experience. The well known technology of the UniGas, EcoLine and GreenLine is merged in a unique, easy to use, rugged and high performance instrument. UniGas 3000 and UniGas 4000 are two compact flue gas analysers and they includes the following facilities in a simple to use palm-top instrument: combustion analysis, boiler tuning, emissions monitoring, and complementary auxiliary test and inspections. Two electrochemical sensors read the oxygen (O 2 ) and carbon monooxide (CO) concentrations. These values, together with the flue gas and combustion air temperatures, are used to calculate the efficiency, excess air and CO 2 in compliance with laid down regulations. The calculations are made for the most common fuels (natural gas, LPG, gasoil and kerosene) and six additional fuels that can be programmed by the operator. A third sensor is used to measure the pollutant NO, NO 2 or SO 2 as will eventually be required by local authorities. The NO measurement is expressed in terms of a NO X value in accordance with current recommendations. UniGas 4000 only can be implemented with a fourth sensor for polluting SO 2 and/or NO 2 /NO X combustible concentration. Additional external probes allow the operator to make ambient parameter measurements of room temperature and relative humidity (T+RH%), ambient CO safety monitoring and CH 4 checks for leak detection. Other operative modes include draught measurement, report printing, data logging and the PC interface. The draught and pressure measurements are done through an internal sensor connected to the standard sampling probe. If the oxygen (or CO 2 ), CO and efficiency measurements are simultaneously displayed graphically, the combustion optimization will be very easy. 4 UNIGAS 3000/4000 Instrument highlight Easy interchangeable gas sensors UniGas 3000/4000 uses long life sensors for O 2, CO (H 2 compensated), NO, NO 2 and SO 2. The sensors do not need special maintenance but should be replaced after the expected lifetime (>2/3 years depending by concentration measured and use). For a fast replacement, these cells can be supplied pre-calibrated and therefore do not require calibration with certified gas mixtures. However a full maintenance and certification of the instrument is recommended at one year interval. An automatic device excludes the CO sensor when CO measuring overflow occurs. Four acoustic and visual alarms can be set on four programmable parameters. It uses a low cost common roll of paper (58 mm large, 18 meters long), more readable, long lasting and heat resistant, better than the thermal printout on chemical paper. 5 UNIGAS 3000 UNIGAS 4000 Smoke index Smoke index measurement is done by using a hand pump (supplied as an accessory), the results cam be memory stored and printed in the report. Gas sampling probe Flue gas sampling probes with different length, shape and max. operating temperature (800 C and 1000 C) are available to match the requirement of different applications. The sampling probe is connected to the instrument with a rubber hose through a combined module of water trap and suspended particle filter. Report of Calibration Every instrument is factory calibrated and certified against Eurotron Standard, that are periodically certified by Internationally recognized Laboratory to ensure traceability, and shipped with a Report of Calibration stating the nominal and actual values, the acceptable error and the deviation error. Ambient CO probe Probe to monitor CO concentration and therefore safety condition in the boiler room. The instrument gives acoustic and visual alarm if the set limit is exceeded. Gas sniffer probe To detect and locate the position of a gas leak into the domestic pipe network. Leak test mode To check gas network tightness using a pressure decay method at programmable interval time. Burner pressure probe To measure the burner pressure in heating systems this feature allows to adjust the pressure for compliance with specifications. Remote temperature sensor A remote Pt100 probe is available for combustion air temperature measurement from 10 C to 100 C. This probe is strongly recommended mainly in forced air boiler to obtain an accurate calculation of the efficiency.
