1 Universitas Islam Indonesia Faculty of Economics INTERNATIONAL PROGRAM Syllabus Organizational Change & Development (3 cps) Subject Overview Organization Development and Change is a course about a series of transformation process in an organization which is either planned or unplanned related to structure, process, technology, and human aspect so that the organization will be more effective and adaptable to the environment. Organization Development and Change is a society development course which is delivered starting from the fourth semester with 3 (three) credit points. Students can take this subject if they have passed the prerequisite course in Human Resource Management with a minimum grade of C. Organization Development and Change is a society development course (MBB), which aims to strengthen the students understanding and control of prevailing regulations in their social lives (Rahmatan Lil'alamiin), both nationally and globally, which will direct their works in accordance with the competency skills. Organization Development and Change is an important subject to learn because in fact the organization is often stagnant. It is caused by the reluctance of the people to follow the changing, which is considered to cause an imbalance. Consequently, there is a need of evaluation, adaptation, regeneration and innovation to encounter such matters. Subject Objectives By studying Organization Development and Change, students are expected to understand a series of transformation process which is either planned or unplanned in an organization related to structure, process, technology, and human aspect so that the organization will be more effective and adaptable to the environment. You have to visit one company that practices of organization development & change (in your hometown, or others that you have an access to come) b. Conduct an interview with one of key persons who understand very well about the concept and implementation of organization development & change in that company. It is compulsory to attach your interview transcription in the report. c. Based on that interview and supported by other secondary data, you compose a report that consists of some parts as described below: Introduction An overview of the company The concept of organization development & change The practice of organization development & change in the company Analyses Conclusions and recommendations d. The report should be written with provisions as follows: Paper size A4 Margin (top, bottom, left & right): 1 Times New Roman 12 Double space Number of pages is minimum 10 pages (excluding references, attachments, and interview transcription) e. The report should employ at least 10 references (consists of maximum three books, others are journal articles) f. The report must be submitted on the final exam Examination Mid-Test and Final Test Class Participation Discussion and answering questions regarding previous materials 2. End of Semester Result Final Test 35% Mid-test 35% Assignments/Class Participation 30% Total 100% 3. Assessment System The scoring system uses a Standard Reference Assessment (Penilaian Acuan Patokan - PAP) with the following terms:

If you do not agree with the result that you achieve for any piece of assessment for this subject please contact the lecturer immediately.
