1 Supplies Needed to Make the Game: Scissors Optional: Clear contact paper Books of the Bible Tic-Tac-Toe Game Preparation: Optional: To make labels more durable, before cutting apart, cover both sides with clear contact paper. Cut apart category labels. Game Set-Up: Needed: a piece of chalk or a marker, an eraser, and scotch tape. Draw a large Tic-Tac-Toe Chart on a chalkboard or marker board. Tape one category label to each section. Always have the 'Recite' label in the center. Have a list of the books of the Bible handy to follow along for the Recite answers. Divide clubbers into teams. Two teams may play at a time. Assign each team their mark: X or O. How to Play the Game: Let the first clubber pick his/her category. Ask clubber a question from that category. Individual clubbers must answer without conferring with other team members. Set a time limit to answer, if necessary. If they answer correctly, let them make their X or O in that section. (Or you or another Leader could do it to save time.) Then go to the first person on the second team. If the first team answered their question incorrectly, give the second team the choice of answering the first team's question or choosing another category. Play continues, giving alternating teams a question, with each team member having a turn to answer until one team gets three marks in a row. Give points or a treat to the winners. Optional Way To Play: Let individual clubbers take turns being the spokesperson for their team's answer. This gives variety to the game or helps when several clubbers are not familiar with the books of the Bible.
