11 3 years/credits are required for MHS graduation; students interested in college should take math four years. Talk to your current math teacher and an MHS math teacher for information about prerequisites and course sequencing.

12 3 years/credits are required for MHS graduation Students interested in college should take two years of a lab science (Biology and Chemistry) If you are interested in pursuing a medical/science field in college, talk to your MHS science teacher about taking multiple high school science courses in order to maximize college prep/ap courses later in high school.

14 1.5 years/credits of Physical Education, plus ½ year of Health are required for graduation One semester each of Health and PE are recommended in 9 th grade

15 1.5 credits, or 3 semesters, of PE are required for graduation Students may take the same PE class throughout high school 9 th grade students can choose from Team Sports, Weights, Recreational Sports, and Personal Fitness A full year of 9 th grade NJROTC counts as.5 of required PE credit.

16 ½ credit/year of Fine/Performing Arts is required for graduation The Fine Arts requirement can be met by taking Art, Ceramics, Photography, Band, Choir, Music, Graphic Design, or Theater

17 Foreign language is not required to graduate from MHS, but four-year colleges do require students to complete 2-3 years of the same foreign language in high school. MHS offers four years of Spanish, French, and German. The 4 th year of each language culminates with the preparation for the Advanced Placement test.
