6 Configurations Several rooms have fixed furniture arrangements and can t be modified. Some rooms are normally set with a standard configuration that is optimal for the space. There is no charge for the initial room set-up; however, additional fees may apply for extreme deviations from our standard set-up, for last-minute changes, or major midday alternations. Below are diagrams of optional configurations for conference rooms with moveable furniture. Tables for meals typically are set for 10, except on the Rooftop Terrace where tables for eight are used. AV reduces all room capacities. Herringbone Workshop or Classroom Banquet Hollow Square U-Shape Circle Lecture or Theater Half Circle
7 Additional Information The room capacities listed are intended as maximums and meant to serve as guidelines only. Exact room capacities depend upon specific event details such as room configuration, catering and number of tables and chairs. Additional items such as bars, displays, equipment or staging reduce these maximums. capacities are often flexible, so please speak to your event planner to discuss your needs. We take pride in providing services and amenities that exceed guests expectations: We offer eight-hour chairs that ensure comfort throughout daylong events or classes. Our chairs are specifically designed to meet the needs of conference participants. Both Conference Centers are fully supported with educational technology specialists, which means you will always have readily available support and help. A business services desk is conveniently located on our first floor. Whiteboards are found in every meeting room. Wall-mounted tack boards allow for easy hanging of display and presentation materials. We offer full food and beverage service. Meeting rooms refreshed at lunch and during breaks. Filtered water in meeting rooms is complimentary. Both facilities provide free wireless Internet access throughout. Every room is both Mac and PC compatible. Smart phones are supported. Phone service is available in meeting rooms. Both facilities welcome users with special needs. We offer: assisted listening devices, closed captioning, video calls for anyone using sign language, and our facilities are fully accessible to those with physical challenges. Conveniently located at 610 Langdon Street, The Lowell Center Conference & Lodging Facility offers 137 well-appointed guest rooms, 57 of which are brand new. Many of our guestrooms have Lake or Capitol views and all feature in-room minirefrigerators, free wireless, ipod/iphone docking stations with radios, 32" flat screen TVs, Bath & Body Works toiletries, custom Amish furniture and more. Extended stay rooms are available. An expanded continental breakfast is included in the room rate and on-site guest parking for one vehicle is $8 per night (or free parking is three blocks away).
