4 Participation A total of 1,550 participants ran in the inaugural Pensacola Mud Run on October 12, There were also more than 1,000 spectators. A total of 2,050 participants ran in the second annual Pensacola Mud Run on October 10, There were also more than 1,000 spectators. Considering the overwhelming response the Pensacola Mud Run continues to receive, the mud run committee foresees a much higher level of participation in the future. It is the goal of the organizers to have a total of 4,000 participants for 2015 and 2,000 spectators, with steady growth each continuing year.

5 Garnered Coverage Public relations and marketing activity (press releases, interviews, PSAs on radio, television, billboards, etc.) will continue to boost exposure and help to increase the number of registrants and establish event awareness in the community. For the 2015 race, even greater exposure will be provided to the event and sponsors. This year s media package includes Lamar billboards, WEARTV3 PSAs, COX Communications PSAs, Cat Country 98.7 PSAs, NewsRadio 1620 PSAs, social media, Pensacola Mud Run website, Pensacola Mud Run video, on-site banners and additional exposure for garnered coverage through various traditional, on-line media and as featured on the official Pensacola Mud Run video via the Pensacola Mud Run website, event partner websites and social media channels. 12 Get Dirty For A Good Cause This October, you don t have to travel out of town for adventure. Thanks to Pathways for Change, those seeking adventure get to have their fill of fun, and mud, at the Pensacola Mud Run, while helping someone else get clean in the process. The proceeds from the Pensacola Mud Run support the programs at Pathways for Change. Pathways For Change (PFC) is a Pensacola, Florida nonprofit organization founded in 2004 to provide social, educational and spiritual assistance for individuals impacted by poverty, substance abuse and lack of education. Dedicated to its mission of Changing Lives, Reducing Crime, Building Futures, and working in partnership with more than 30 community organizations, PFC offers an extraordinary continuum of services that includes residential substance abuse treatment, mental health counseling, summer camps for children and afterschool education program with play, music and art therapies. PFC s addiction treatment program is a successful legal sentencing option that includes mental health counseling, case management and educational training, and assures 100% employment upon graduation. The groundbreaking program has reduced repeat offenses of participants by 70%, and saves local tax payers more than $600,000 each year. PFC also provides education, vocational and counseling services for financially struggling individuals and families through The Family Center, and transitional services at the Clinton Cox Residence, a 12-room, state-of-the-art facility where clients prepare themselves to transition from drug/alcohol dependency to reentry into society as productive members.
