8 I felt very welcome from the off. Also, I was introduced to the clients from an early stage. I may not have had the exposure to do certain jobs, but as I grew in confidence and knowledge, they pushed me further forward until I was completely client facing within a few months. I was involved in a number of instructions and was directly dealing with clients on a one to one basis. It s exciting to get experience with larger instructions and clients from day one and understanding the regional markets has really benefited me. 9 After completing the graduate scheme and qualifying as a chartered surveyor in April, I have continued to progress my career in property. My current role is an EMEA account manager for a global pharmaceutical company. My responsibilities include proactive portfolio analysis, global transaction management and business case development. My first rotation gave me exposure to the different elements of Corporate Finance and my rotation to Paris has provided a deeper understanding when considering investment markets in differing countries. I was allocated to Cushman & Wakefield Investors and paired up with a buddy to show me the ropes. Two years on I have joined the Graduate Programme and am completing my first ten month rotation. 10 HOW TO APPLY Our approach to recruitment is designed to let you show your individual talents and strengths. The first step is to complete and submit the online application form. If successful, you will be invited to complete an online numerical test and potentially attend one of our first round interviews and subsequent assessment days. The assessment day involves interviews, group and networking activities which help us to really get to know you. You will also have the chance to meet a wide range of employees from the firm and start to build your network. Closing date for graduate applications is Friday 25th November 2011 INDUCTION Working with us, your induction starts from the moment you accept a job offer. Your first week will consist of a structured programme designed to get you up and running so that you can join your first department and start to contribute immediately. PLACEMENT & ROTATION At Cushman & Wakefield we want you to grow your options with a good, solid grounding in the core aspects of your profession. Where you complete your 3 x 10 month rotations depends upon a combination of how you would like your career to develop and what experience you need in order to achieve your relevant qualification. You may even get the opportunity to experience a regional or international rotation. PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT Our graduate roles are designed to give you the right mix of on-the-job experience and participation in structured training programmes to ensure you achieve personal success as early as possible. DEVELOPMENT SUPPORT You will receive help and support at every stage of your development from a committed team made up of individuals across the firm including our Director of Learning & Development, Graduate and Diversity Manager, APC Mentor and APC Counsellors. You will even be allocated a buddy to help you with the day to day aspects of joining the Firm. Your individual Supervisor within your team will also support you in your relevant qualification and be on hand to help in your day-to-day development. SALARIES & BENEFITS Salaries are competitive and vary according to locality. 11 SUMMER INTERNSHIP If you re looking to get a head start to your career with us, our summer internship is a great place to begin. Offered to students in their penultimate year of study, we have two-month internships available across all departments. All internships are a part of a structured programme, designed to make you feel comfortable and confident from day one. Expect to get your hands on real projects, as well as getting involved in a range of activities and social events that will bring you closer together with people you ll be working with in the future. Dependent on performance you may even return to university with a job offer for a graduate place for the following year. We strongly believe that all graduates should have the opportunity to experience the firm before they join. Closing date for all summer internship applications is Friday 16th March 2012

12 BUSINESS PLACEMENT We offer placements within Building Surveying in the UK but also some Commercial Pathway placements in our EMEA offices. Initially you will be placed into one of the departments in C&W for 6-11 months where you will gain experience in a particular discipline. You will be assisting more experienced surveyors with daily tasks and by the end of your placement will have completed up to one year of experience towards your APC. You will be expected to assist your colleagues in supporting the needs of external clients on many aspects of the property lifecycle. Following a successful end of placement review some individuals may be offered a graduate role upon successful completion of your degree along with some sponsorship towards your final year at university.
