4 Bike Bus Car Train to University Car There are approximately 1400 parking spaces on campus and is situated just 25km from Dublin city centre. Take junction 7 (signposted /Straffan/Naas) off the M4 and follow the signs to. Turn left in the centre of the town and the gates to the South Campus are directly ahead of you. To reach the North Campus simply follow the signs in the town. A designated permit parking system operates on the campus. Smart Travel Car pooling and cycling can prove more cost-effective and fun ways of commuting to and lots of our students commute this way. Bicycle racks are provided in key locations around the campus and car-pooling is arranged between students. My commute Ellen I have been commuting to for the last three years. As a native of Clonsilla, Irish Rail has been my main mode of transport. Thanks to the regular train times and weekly, monthly and leap card ticket options I have been able to adjust my commute costs to my timetable each year. my commute Judith I live in Donnybrook and work in University. I usually hop on a Dublin Bike and make my way to earse Street Station where I get the train. The Leap Card makes the train very affordable and the wifi means I can catch up on my work on the way in. My commute David I have commuted to the campus daily from Newbridge for the last three years and have car pooled with a friend for the majority of this time. Carpooling has been invaluable to both of us and has saved us both time and money, as well as making the commute more fun! I sometimes take the JJ Kavanagh bus which is also very handy. Train to Irish Rail lies on the Western Commuter Line which serves the four Dublin city centre stations (earse Station, Tara Street Station, Connolly Station and Docklands) as well as twelve other suburban stations (Drumcondra, Broombridge, Ashtown, Navan Rd. arkway, Castleknock, Coolmine, Clonsilla, Hansfield, Dunboyne, M3 arkway, Leixlip Confey and Leixlip Louisa Bridge). Lots of our students and staff take the train every day and the cheaper Leap Card fares mean that the average weekly return ticket from earse Station to costs just 30. If you re travelling from the west, the Sligo train line passes through via Collooney, Ballymote, Boyle, Carrick-on-Shannon, Dromod, Longford, Edgeworthstown, Mullingar, Enfield and Kilcock. The Leap Card is a pay-as-you go smart card which saves money versus cash fares on journeys across the city and country.

5 Bike, Bus, Car, Train to University my commute Orlaith I live in Ashford in Co.Wicklow and I commute to every day. I take a bus, a DART and a train to. I spend roughly 2½ hours travelling to. The reason why I decided on University as my CAO first preference, and to make the commute to, rather than choose a university closer to home, was because of my degree course. I study Media Studies with Music and this type of degree is unique to University because it is the only university which allows you to study Media Studies with another Arts subject. I also get a good bit of work done on my way into college, so it s a good use of time!
