During the first four years of his career in the Caribbean as a policy adviser, economic researcher and quantitative analyst he advised several ministers of the Curaçao and the Netherlands Antilles government (e.g. Ministry of Economic affairs and Finance). One of the main achievements was the promotion of the macro model Curalyse as the quantitative policy analysis framework on Curaçao. Several additional modules to the macro model were built. Mr. Calmera produced several policy papers on structural adjustment, tourism, financial management, energy and supported discussions with the IMF and Inter American Development Bank during the structural adjustment programs that were implemented in the Netherlands Antilles. He also organized 14 macro economic workshops during on Curaçao, with over 500 participants, where several economic topics were discussed and simulated with the economic model. In Europe Mr. Calmera worked as a senior management consultant and project manager for Several multinationals during the last 10 years. In all these projects he continued to use the Quantitative economic approach based on economic models. He initiated and lead several projects in the energy trading, banking, transport, transaction processing, marketing and public sector. He broadened his macro economic, policy and public sector experience with knowledge of the private sector and advised senior management on strategic management, business process management, risk management, portfolio management and internet software development. Throughout the years he gave several workshops on how to use macro models in their day to day business to modeling teams of Curaçao, Aruba, Suriname, Zambia and Kenia.

2 Mr. Calmera is a certified PRINCEII, project manager who not only advices senior management on strategic policy issues, but can also implement the advices into the organization. His working style is analytical, systematic, proactive and focused on adding value to the organization. COMMUNITY PROJECTS The vision is: Education is one of your ways out of poverty. That s my own experience. My community projects are focused on Education. WORKSHOP ONLINE PROJECTS FOR BIBLIOTHEKA PUBLICO In 2011 Mr. Runy Calmera developed a course for online project management for the Youth of Curacao. As a pilot he tested this course for the employees of the Bibliotheka Publico of Curacao and their children. A total of 15 participants completed the course, which was held during 4 weeks on a Saturday morning in the Computer Center of the Library. The participants learned how to use all online tools to complete their project. Tools were for instance Google Documents, Presentations, Websites, Skype, Facebook ant Twitter. MASTERCLASS ONLINE PROJECTS FOR BOS DI HUBENTUD In 2012 Mr. Runy Calmera approached the Foundation Bos di Hubentud and gave two intensive Masterclasses on how to streamline and automate the processes of the foundation. In the first Masterclass the Management Team of Bos di Hubentud was trained how to use online tools. This Masterclass was given free of charge. A group of 6 project leaders of Bos di Hubentud were trained. Mr. Runy Calmera helped them automate their subscription process for their workshops. After the training the Foundation Bos di Hubentud managed to send the subscription forms online to almost 500 teachers on Curacao who attend their workshops. In the second Masterclass Mr. Runy Calmera gave a training for a group of about 20 stakeholders of Bos di Hubentud. These stakeholders are working in the social area. The workshops were video taped. The goal of this is to make an online free course for the youth of Curacao to use online tools to make their dreams come through. WIFI Parks Turtuga Foundation of Junior Tecla In 2012 Mr. Runy Calmera approached Mr. Junior Tecla who built the first WIFI Park at Landhuis Bloemhof. Mr. Runy Calmera plans to assist Mr. Junior Tecla s foundation to educate people in the WIFI parks as soon as there are operational. The goal is to organize cultural and educational events in the 7 parks that will be built in 7 neighboorhoods of Curacao. Junior Tecla s goal is to build these 7 parks before May 2013 and have Boi Palu events. He also wants to involve the local people and give them opportunities to participate in tourism with their WIFI Parks. Prins Bernardschool Ace Suares Together with Mr. Ace Suares and others Mr. Runy Calmera wants to upgrade the infrastructure of the Prins Bernardschool. The goal is to have two computers per class. Currently the infrastructure is out dated. The involvement is how to get funds, how to organize the project and how to promote the project via modern communication like Facebook etc. Theaterschrijven en Theatherspelen Dramatist Milushka Birge gave a course how to write theatre and play theatre in Landhuis Bloemhof. This art form can also help Curacao people to develop their creativity in writing stories and acting. Mr. Runy Calmera helped Ms. Milushka Birge with the promotion on Facebook for the courses. The idea is to repeat these courses and prepare young actors and producers so they can play once Centro Pro Arte reopens in 2013 or CURRENT POSITION Economist, Trainer, Coach and senior management consultant.
