Designer Waving or Straightening 30 min - 2 hr $35 - $140 At Hair on Riseley we are one of few salons who specialise in permanent waving and chemical straightening services. All chemical services include a detailed consultation, during which we check the hairs elasticity, porosity, texture and density, as the condition will determine what type of product is used on your hair, and if pre-treatments are needed. We will also determine the look you want to achieve and the appropriate after care and maintenance. Your hair undergoes three stages, winding or relaxing, then the application of a solution to change the natural characteristics of your hair, then the neutralising process to permanently curl or straighten your hair. 4 Classic Permanent Wave From soft waves to give your hair some texture, or a fuller look to give volume to lifeless straight hair, look no further if a natural look is desired or for that extra re-enforcement for your blow dry. Rollers are used all over to create desired effect. This is a very popular choice amongst people with short hairstyles. Long Hair Permanent Wave 30 min Partial Permanent wave $60 Long hair has special considerations when it comes to permanent waves, whether its soft body or spiral ringlets, expect this service to take a little longer due to the amount of winding and neutralising involved. 1 hr Long hair Permanent wave from $135 Evolution Wave Using only the best premium quality solution on the market this perm is designed for people with fragile, porous or difficult to perm hair, or hair with permanent colour and up to 30% highlights. This solution takes longer to process and can be put under heat to aid development in some cases. Evolution gives a softer, more natural look and feel to curls than a classic perm Japanese straightening 1/3 Riseley Street 4 (03) min Evolution Wave $82 If you have curly to wavy hair that never shines and dream of sleek straight hair, Japanese straightening is for you. A solution is applied to the hair and developed, then rinsed out and dried. Then the magic happens; two stylists will work together flat ironing millimetre thick sections of hair a process which can take over an hour in itself. A neutraliser is then applied to give you permanently sleek, shiny, maintenance free hair. Touch up required approx. every 9 months depending on degree of natural curl. Many clients enjoy the convenience of these services while their colour is processing.
