2 Application and The LSA-PROFIL disconnection module 2/8 abs, is designed for the distribution of shielded, single-pair to 8-pair copper cables in high-speed data transmission networks. The module is designed for the distribution of 2Mbit services and inhouse cabling systems complying to EIA/TIA 568, CAT 5 standards. 2/6, 2pole-Z120 (Cable 1pair, 1pole screen, 3 m) Order-No Description The module is installed in standard LSA-PROFIL frames where the centreto-centre distance is 95 mm. To facilitate good cable management various accessories are available: cable support plates cable guides test and patch cords Cable support plates are used for incoming or outgoing cables, and ensure that all cable screens are at a common potential, and are physically connected to the distributor frame. Various types of support plate are available to suit different cable diameters, and numbers of cables to be distributed. For example: model is a universal support plate, which accommodates several cables of the same type (in the diameter range of up to 6 mm). It must be noted that to ensure good performance the minimum bend-radius of cables must be adhered to. Notes on fixing of cables, and connection of cable screens: The screens of the individual pairs are secured and connected at the cable support plate e.g. 2/8x-universal. For cable diameters > 12 mm it is recommended that the earth kit CUK/S be used. Cross-connect jumpers are managed by the integral wire-guide channels which lead the wires to the LSA-PLUS contact points a and b. The drainwire s, is inserted into the right-hand contact chamber, where termination ensures contact to the earth of the frame. For improved jumper handling and management the optional cable guides (left or right) can be clipped to the bottom of the module.
