1 2016 PGE Parks Summer Social Media Sweepstakes Official Rules 2016 PGE Parks Summer Social Media Sweepstakes sponsored by Portland General Electric Company ( Sponsor ) Take a photo while you visit the sponsor s parks, share it on Twitter, Facebook or Instagram for a chance to win a prize; take a picture of all the PGE Park badges located throughout PGE s service territory for a chance to win the grand prize at the end of the sweepstakes. Here are the Official Rules: 1. PRELIMINARY INFORMATION Anyone considering submitting an entry to participate in this sweepstakes should read all of the information below for eligibility rules, requirements of participation and an explanation of the prizes. Three winners will be chosen in a random drawing on September 8, PLEASE NOTE: NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. By entering the sweepstakes, participant accepts and agrees to be bound by these rules and by the decision of the Sponsor, which shall be final and binding in all respects. Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify any person or social media post that Sponsor determines to be in violation of any term contained in these Official Rules. Sponsor reserves the right to modify these rules for clarification purposes without materially affecting the terms and conditions of the sweepstakes. Sponsor reserves the right to cancel this sweepstakes at any time without obligation or prior notice. This sweepstakes is open to persons over age 18, who are legal residents of the United States and each of whom complies with the additional requirements set forth in these Official Rules. TO ENTER To enter this sweepstakes, visit an official PGE park, take a photo, post it using the hashtag #PGEParks and General Electric on Facebook on Twitter or Instagram to submit your picture. Take and submit pictures from all 8 parks and be entered to win the grand prize. Submitted photos will not be accepted or eligible and may be removed from any Facebook, Twitter or Instagram posting associated with Sponsor if, in the sole discretion of Sponsor s Social Media Manager, they include any content that contains or appears to contain: Explicitly profane or obscene material;

2 Endorsement (or condones) of illegal drug use, alcohol abuse or other illegal activity; Nudity, profanity or extreme or gratuitous violence; Any express or implied commercial endorsement; Any derogatory characterization of any person or group based on age, race, color, gender, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, religious beliefs, marital status, mental or physical disability, citizenship, creed, national origin, physical appearance, political affiliation, union membership, or other unethical or unlawful factors; or Depictions of any conduct, language or other context deemed inappropriate by the Sponsor. All entries must be received by 5 p.m. on September 6, ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA To enter and to be eligible to receive a prize, participants must meet the following eligibility requirements: must be over the age of 18; must be a legal resident of the United States; must have visited an official park property owned and operated by the sponsor in Oregon and submitted a photo of the park property Employees of Sponsor, their parent, subsidiary and joint venture companies, as well as members of their immediate families and households (including children and siblings) are not eligible. Upon selection, winner may be asked to provide proof of age. If at any point during the sweepstakes Sponsor deems an entry ineligible, Sponsor may disqualify that entry and at its sole discretion, select an alternate. You do not need to reside in the

3 service territory of the sponsor, but need to have visited an official park owned by the sponsor. 4. SELECTION PROCESS Sponsor will select a winning entry from random drawings of entries on three dates throughout the sweepstakes. Drawings will take place on June 24, 2016, July 29, 2016 and September 8, 2016, from all eligible entries received. The September 8, 2016 drawing will have two winners one runner up prize and one grand prize winner will be selected. Odds of winning vary and depend on the number of eligible entries received. Participants must submit multiple photos from each of the 8 PGE Park locations in order to be eligible to win the grand prize. Only one entry per PGE Park, per person will be considered in the drawing multiple entries do not increase odds of winning. 5. PRIZE PACKAGES Four winning entries will be selected through a random drawing to receive a prize. The first runner up prize will be announced June 24, 2016: One $100 gift certificate to REI will be given away. The second runner up prize will be announced July 29, 2016: One $100 gift certificate to REI will be given away. The third runner up prize will be announced September 8, 2016: One $100 gift certificate will be given away. The grand prize winner will be announced September 8, 2016: One $500 gift certificate and a free two night stay during the 2017 camping season at either Pelton, Promontory or Timothy Lake will be given away. The winner can choose which of the three parks they would like to stay and dates are dependent upon availability. Winners are solely responsible for the payment of any and all taxes and/or fees that may be incurred as a result of prizes awarded. 7. DISQUALIFICATION Entries that are incomplete, illegible, postage due or corrupted are void and will not be accepted. If any participant becomes ineligible during the sweepstakes, they may be disqualified.

4 Sponsor is not responsible for telecommunications, network, electronic, technical or computer failures of any kind, for inaccurate transcription of entry information, for errors in any promotional or marketing materials, for errors in these rules, for any human or electronic error, including but not limited to the administration of this sweepstakes, or for entries that are stolen, misdirected, garbled, delayed by computer transmissions, lost, late, damaged, or postage due. Caution: Any attempt by a participant or any other individual to deliberately damage any online service or web site or undermine the legitimate operation of Sponsor is a violation of criminal and civil laws and should such an attempt be made, Sponsor reserves the right to seek damages and/or other remedies from any such person to the fullest extent permitted by law. 8. DISCLAIMER Each participant assumes all liability for any injury or damages caused or claimed to be caused by their participation in this sweepstakes, including the acceptance of a prize. Each participant releases all prize donors, PGE, their parent, subsidiary, affiliate and joint venture companies, as well as their respective officers, directors, and employees, from any such liability. Sponsor, their parent, subsidiary, affiliate and joint venture companies, as well as their respective officers, directors, and employees assume no responsibility for any injury or damage to participant s or to any other person s computer relating to or resulting from entering or downloading materials or software. Sponsor, their parent, subsidiary, affiliate and joint venture companies, as well as their respective officers, directors, and employees are not responsible for technical, hardware, software, or telephone malfunctions of any kind, lost or unavailable network connections, or failed incorrect, incomplete, inaccurate, garbled or delayed electronic communications caused by the user or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in this sweepstakes or by any human error which may occur in the processing of the entries in this event. Completion of an entry form constitutes permission (except where prohibited by law) to use participant s submission and photo, name, city, state and age for purposes of advertising, promotion and publicity without additional compensation and constitutes agreement by the participant to be bound by these Official Rules. 9. ADDITIONAL RULES Sponsor reserves the right to terminate the entry period prior to its scheduled end date.

5 Sponsor reserves the right to permanently disqualify any person it believes has intentionally violated these Official Rules. Except where prohibited, all issues and questions this sweepstakes shall be governed by, the laws of the state of Oregon. If any controversy or claim arising out of or relating to the Official Rules, or the sweepstakes cannot be otherwise resolved, it shall be resolved in the courts of Multnomah County, Portland, Oregon. 10. ANNOUNCEMENT OF WINNERS A copy of these rules and/or the name of the winner may be obtained by sending a self-addressed stamped #10 the address provided in these rules. Requests must be received no later than September 8, 2016.
