2 Mrs. Midiri s Classroom Procedures Entrance o Make sure you have all necessary materials for the class. o Be in assigned seat when bell rings. o Get started on bell work. Bell work o Immediately start your bell work on board or warm-up sheet. o The date is required at the top of each day s work. o Do the bell work on the same sheet of paper all week, unless specified by the teacher. o The bell work will be collected on the last day of each week. o When you are finished wait quietly for next direction. When you are tardy o Come into the classroom quietly. o If you have a tardy pass, please give it to teacher. Otherwise go straight to assigned seat. o You will not be excused from any work you missed including bell work. Get work assignment from board or teacher. Homework o You will have homework! o It is due at the beginning of the class, turned into homework file. o Heading of papers -Name ( All no name papers will be thrown away) -Date -Class Period Late Work o Homework assignments are due by the end of the due date for full credit. o After the end of the day, half credit will be given.

3 o After a weeks time, the assignment will no longer be accepted. o Turn in last work to late basket. o If late work becomes a problem, your parents will be notified. Absent Work o If you are absent for any reason, it is YOUR responsibility for the assignments you missed. o Pick up your assignment from your hour s basket o The weeks lesson plans will be up on the homework board and on my website. o Ask the teacher if you do not understand the directions. In-house Work o If you are in in-house because of an action or behavior in my class, you will be expected to turn in a think sheet that counts for the day missed bellwork/partcipation points. o It is your responsibility to pick up any work before or after school that will be missed for those day/s. o Assignments will not be given to you if you come during class time. During Instruction o Listen to teacher with full attention o No pencil sharpening, talking, or disruptions of any kind o Feel free to ask question relevant questions by raising your hand. While you are working o Make sure you read and listen to the directions about your work and understand them. o If you didn t understand, ask the teacher to explain directions again. Keep working until teacher gets to you. o Use your time wisely. Put forth your best effort to finish your work on time.

4 When visitors are in the classroom o Continue to work quietly o Speak politely to the visitor if they ask you a question Guest Teacher o When the regular teacher has to be gone, the rules, responsibilities, and procedures are still in effect. o Treat the guest teacher with the same respect as the regular teacher.

No eating or drinking or electronic devices in room. 3. Be in your assigned seat and ready to work when bell rings. 4. Obey all school and district rules. 5. Passes to leave class will be issued only for emergencies and in exchange for a after school detention. 6. Consequences: Rewards: 1. Verbal Warning Good Grades 2. Detention P.A.W.S 3. Phone call to parent & detention Good Calls or 4. Referral to Office Notes Home NOTE: If the misbehavior is so severe that it disrupts the teaching and learning process, a referral to the office will be made. Make Up Work 1. Homework/Class work - Student are responsible for asking for make- up work when they return from an excused absence. All work must be turned in before the end of the day of the end of that week. If you miss a day, you have a day to make it up. Lesson plans, unit notes and some worksheets are posted on my website and also in the daily make up folders in the classroom. 2. Tests/Quizzes - Students must make them up the day after they return from an excused absence. No credit for unexcused absences. Student Responsibilities: 1. Attend class everyday with appropriate supplies ready to learn. 2. Complete all in class and homework assignments to best of your ability. 3. Ask questions to clarify understanding. 4.
