1 HONG KONG TELECOMMUNICATIONS EQUIPMENT EVALUATION AND CERTIFICATION (HKTEC) SCHEME Telecommunication equipment (TE), including radiocommunications equipment and wireline equipment for connection to the public telecommunication networks (PTN) and industrial, scientific and medical (ISM) equipment emitting radio frequency energy intentionally that is for use or sale in Hong Kong is subjected to certification and labeling scheme as required by the Office of the Communications Authority (OFCA). SGS Hong Kong Ltd. has been accredited by OFCA as the Local Certification Body (LCB) for carrying out testing and certification of telecommunication equipment for use in Hong Kong. Type of Certification Scheme Depending on the type of equipment, Voluntary Certification Scheme (VCS) or Compulsory Certification Scheme (CCS) shall apply. Equipment found to comply with the relevant technical specification may be affixed with certification label. SGS Hong Kong Ltd. can provide the evaluation and certification for the below listed equipments under either VCS or CCS.
