2 New York s Sheet Metal Industry: From Design to Delivery New York s construction industry requires high standards for its cutting-edge projects. The Sheet Metal Industry of New York provides the quality companies, skilled craftsmen and state-of-the-art design, fabrication, installation and coordination that building owners and developers have come to expect for their sheet metal needs. Heating, ventilating and air conditioning systems are often concealed, but they affect the health and comfort of visitors and occupants of a building. We are committed to excellence on every project to ensure a safe, energy efficient indoor environment. Many of our industry s project managers have experience working on LEED-certified projects and have risen to the green challenge by using sustainable materials that improve indoor air quality and support the environment. On major projects such as Bank of America, Columbia University, Citi Field and Yankee Stadium and on landmarks including the Statue of Liberty and The Plaza Hotel renovation, Union Sheet Metal Contractors and the trades people they employ have played a critical role in New York s development since 1898, and continue to shape New York s future.
