2 About Devonshire Terrace Devonshire Terrace in Devonshire Square is a unique wedding venue in the heart of the City of London. Steeped in history, Devonshire Square was built in the early 1800s to store goods shipped from Bengal including silk, ivory and mother-of-pearl. The glass roof over the western courtyard makes Devonshire Terrace an all-weather location and frames a view of iconic London landmark the Gherkin which creates a picturesque setting for civil ceremonies and wedding receptions. During the week Devonshire Square is a hive of activity but on weekends and bank holidays it is an impressive and tranquil space making it the ideal location for your big day. From the food, to decoration and layout, we understand that your special day needs to reflect you as a couple so we offer a completely flexible service. 6 Food Your first meal together as a married couple with your nearest and dearest is very special and our chefs have put together a collection of delicious three course menus befitting of the occasion. However if you ve got something more informal in mind, such as sharing food or a buffet, just let us know and our chefs will tailor a menu to your requirements. Whatever style of food you re planning, we ll book in a tasting a few months before your big day so we can make sure you re happy with every element of your wedding meal. 8 Ceremony To arrange a registrar for your ceremony at Devonshire Terrace visit the link below. The cost of the registrar is not included in the minimum spend and is paid directly to Islington Council. You will also need to give a notice of marriage to the superintendent registrar(s) of the district in which you live.
