All Baltimore County Public Schools Essential Curriculum requirements are met in this program. This is a rigorous academic program in which the children learn math and language arts in the French language. Multi-Age Grouping Students in multi-age programs work in flexible instructional groups, rather than in grade specific groups, for a portion of each day.this type of grouping allows children to learn at their own pace along with other children having similar interests and academic levels. Classes are structured heterogeneously to include diverse abilities and ages, and use an integrated curriculum and authentic learning experiences. Older and younger students work together, enhancing both the academic abilities as well as the socialization skills of both. Younger students benefit from working with experienced older students. Older students are able to take on roles involving leadership and increased responsibility. Small subgroups of students in need of the same types of instruction are also used at certain times of the day.
