4 Project History 1992: I 75 Northern Oakland County Corridor Study precipitated by new developments including the Great Lakes Crossing Mall 1999: I 75 SEMCOG/MDOT Corridor Study (Oakland County Line to Genesee County Line) further analyzed corridor needs for increasing traffic

5 Project History 2002: Environmental Impact Statement formal, Federal study initiated to develop the most environmentally sound, preferred alternative to address existing and future freeway needs 2005: Final Environmental Impact Statement (FEIS) identified most environmentally sound and preferred alternative 2006: Record of Decision (ROD) issued by FHWA recognizing the preferred alternative as the selected alternative

6 Project History 2009: Engineering Report for 12 Mile Road to M 59 refined the geometrics and design in the northern part of the corridor 2010: Engineering Report for M 102 to 12 Mile Road refined the geometrics and design in the southern part of the corridor

7 Project History 2011: Success Management Workshops developed new design modifications where applicable 2013: Design Modification review ensured they are reasonable and feasible 2013/2014: Community preferences workshops developed a project logo & corridor enhancements 2014: Owners Representative formed the project team to assist with the delivery of the project
