In year 1 and 2, each module will be delivered for 3 hours once a week (a total of 12 contact hours per week and 45 hours per module). In year 3 and 4, however, the modules will be taught for 4 hours per week. During the Research & Analysis Project (RAP) semester you will have tutorials for 12 hours per week. You will also be required to do an equivalent number of hours of self-study for each module. A semester lasts for 15 weeks. Where the modules are based on the CAT and ACCA bodies of knowledge, your textbooks will be from the chosen publisher that CAT and ACCA have endorsed. The end-of-semester examinations are set and marked by the ACCA. After you have finished all the CAT modules you will switch to the ACCA Fundamentals Level. In Semester 7 you will start preparing for your Research and Analysis Project. You will write and complete your RAP in Semester 8, after passing all fundamental ACCA papers and the Professional Ethics Module, and are then eligible to receive your BSc in Applied Accounting from Oxford Brookes University, UK.

ACCA Fundamentals 4 9 (Please refer to for detailed description of the CAT and ACCA modules) All the modules will be delivered according to the ACCA guidelines and syllabus. Mathematics In this module you will acquire the skills you need to gain mathematical and quantitative competence. This course covers basic algebra, functions, probability, and statistics enabling you to efficiently analyze and problem-solve. English 1&2 These English courses introduce you to the language and tools you will require to become an independent and efficient learner. The courses cover all the major English Language skills (listening, speaking, reading and writing) in addition to enabling you to gain capability and confidence in the successful application of practical study methods. Critical Thinking 1&2 Critical Thinking builds up a particular group of intellectual skills which does not depend on specific topic content. It reflects the requirement expressed by tertiary institutes and business, industry and service providers for more established and refined ways of critically examining, analyzing and resolving problems. The course will allow you to apply strategies and problem-solving skills to all other areas of study. Critical Thinking generates debate, investigation and critical reasoning. English for Finance 1&2 The English for Finance courses prepare you for work in the financial sector, equipping you with the language of international business you will need to be able to work globally. In addition, they enhance your opportunities and career prospects. Upon completion of the courses, you can opt to sit the Cambridge International Certificate in Financial English Examination (ICFE) awarded by Cambridge ESOL, a division of the University of Cambridge. Research Methods 1&2 This course familiarizes you with recent research tools enabling you to carry out any necessary research during your course of study with greater efficiency. You will learn how to choose the most relevant information from a variety of sources. In addition, you will understand what plagiarism is and how you can avoid it, how to reference your work, and how to make the most effective use of your notes taken from lectures, academic reading and the Internet.

6 Research and Analysis Project Preparation 1&2 In RAP Preparation 1 you will develop your writing skills, necessary for tackling professional report writing. You will use an approach that is based on sound research skills and a highly competent strategy in executing the writing process. This course takes you through the basic steps of writing an assignment. RAP Preparation 2 emphasizes on how to excel in your Research and Analysis Project (RAP) which you will submit at the end of semester 8.
