7 COMPETETIVE EDGE There are currently many different types of generally accepted synthetic composite materials and industrial processes accepted and used by the aerospace, marine and other different industries. RENCO differentiates itself through its newly developed patented and patent pending innovative proprietary process, which utilizes a unique fiber composite block and assembly system, as well as other products made from fiber composite materials and other construction related products, in which the parts of composite houses are connected to each other by means of an interlock system, for the manufacturing and construction of composite houses and other building structures. Through the use of the unique interlock system, construction solutions become limitless and adaption of our products allows the use of any architectural design which can easily and entirely replace the need for traditional building materials.

74 TEST FOR PRODUCTS Earthquake Tests BOGAZICI UNIVERSITY KANDILLI OBSERVATORY AND EARTHQUAKE RESEARCH INSTITUTE DEPARTMENT OF EARTHQUAKE ENGINEERING RENCO Kompozit Teknolojileri San. Ve Tic. Şti.: In order to determine the seismic performance of two-storey building model (has 2.8mx2.8m floor area and 5.2m height), which has been produced by the use of composite structural elements that are produced by RENCO Kompozit Teknolojileri San. Ve Tic. Şti., a series of shaking table tests were performed under the movements of real earthquake by 3mx3m sized single-axis shaking table in Shaking Table Laboratory, Department of Earthquake Engineering, Kandilli Observatory and Earthquake Research Institute, Bogazici University. The seismic performance of two-storey test sample, which is completely made of the structural elements of the company s own production, is determined in two stages, one by adding 600kg moving-floor load and another one without moving load, under the movements of İzmit, Sakarya and El Centro Earthquakes. As a result of these real earthquake movement tests, there was no damage on the test sample. With this reason and company s lead; the tests have been repeated by increasing 200% the same earthquake records. As a result of these tests, no damage to the building was found. Consequently, test sample that has been made by RENCO structural elements successfully passed the seismic performance tests which is applied under earthquake loads. I submit for your information.
