9 Eligibility & Exemption Eligibility criteria as per Nigerian educational standards EXEMPTIONS ENTRY ROUTES Any person who has the following qualification can study and qualified as ACCA. I. II. III. School Leavers: Graduate: Mature Candidate: Minimum entry age of 18yrs with 2 'A' Level passes or 5 SSCE subject passes. Accountancy and other disciplines. Minimum entry of 21yrs with no formal academic qualification. BSC in Accountancy - Papers 1.1, 1.2, 1.3, 2.1, 2.2 HND In Accountancy - Papers 1.1 and 1.3 BSC or HND in other disciplines - no exemption ICAN PE1 - Papers 1.1, 1.2, 1.3, 2.2 ICAN PE 2 - Papers 1.1, 1.2, 1.3, 2.2, 2.3, 2.4 Non-graduate whose age is above 21 years can start at the professional level 1 as a matured student. 10 Steps to Accomplish ACCA Membership ACCA Membership Experience You must have 3 years relevant practical experience, which can be obtained before, during or after your exams. This is known as the Practical Experience Requirement (PER). Ethics Exam There is an online Ethics Module to complete. 11 Get The Oxford Brookes BSc degree It is possible, whilst studying for your ACCA exams, to obtain a Bachelor of Science degree (Hons) in Applied Accounting awarded by Oxford Brookes University. How to get the Oxford Brookes Bsc degree while studying ACCA? You are eligible to undertake the Oxford Brookes Bsc project after completion of the Fundamentals level. Complete a Research and Analysis project based on a 6,500 word report on a topic suggested by Oxford Brookes University. Produce a Skills and Learning statement of 2,000 words. Present your findings. 12 Important Dates REGISTRATION FEES Registration can take place at any time, however if you wish to take part in specific paper based examination sessions, the following deadlines apply: For the June exams Register by 31 December of the preceding year For the December exams Register by 15 August of the same year On registration you will be asked to pay an initial subscription fee. Then on 1 January each year, an annual subscription fee will be due. As you enter for exams or claim exemptions, a payment will be requested.
