5 Travel Plan Background Developed in partnership with Devon County Council Led by former University Sustainability Committee Sponsored by the Deputy Vice Chancellor (External Affairs) Travel Plan for Exeter Campuses Published in 2007 Issued to ALL members of staff Integral to the Carbon Management Plan - 60% reduction in CO 2 by 2050
6 Travel Plan Objectives improve the choice of transport options and facilities available to staff and students reduce the local, national and global environmental impact of the University s travel demands promote more sustainable means of transport promote more sustainable ways of working.
7 Delivering the Plan: Management Structure Key to the environmental sustainability agenda Embedded in University governance process Owned by the Deputy Vice Chancellor (External Affairs) Sustainability Manager supports development of site specific travel plans responsible for delivery of the plans responsible for monitoring progress and coordinating review process
