Please note on your calendar that on April 29th classes will be held at All Saints Catholic Church due to the Orthodox Good Friday. Field Trips and Service Projects Field trips and service projects are scheduled once a month with the exception of November and March. On the days of field trips and service projects classes WILL NOT be held. Please note Holy Hour, confessions and Mass will all STILL occur on the service/field trip Fridays! Therefore, if you do not go to the field trip you may still join others at the parish for the Holy Hour and Mass. 3 All Saints Homeschool Co-op Member Handbook All Saints Co-op seeks to educate our students in Traditional Catholic precepts by faithfully adhering to the Holy Magisterium of the Roman Catholic Church and obedience to our Bishop and the Pope. We are grateful for the guidance, structure, support and teaching offered our co-op from the Priestly Fraternity of St. Peter, here in Minneapolis. Through a structured and solid program, we hope to assist home educators in their tasks as well as unite our community through the many different aspects of our parish life. Mission Statement We aim is to assist families in providing a high quality solid Catholic Education so that our children can in turn, not only become lights, but guiding lights for Christ in the world. Statement of Faith I believe in God, the Father Almighty, Creator of Heaven and earth; and in Jesus Christ, His only Son Our Lord, Who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried. He descended into Hell; the third day He rose again from the dead; He ascended into Heaven, and sitteth at the right hand of God, the Father almighty; from thence He shall come to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy Catholic Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body and life everlasting. Amen.

Appearance and Code of Conduct Why is an appearance and Code of Conduct necessary? Educational research shows that students with a school uniform or dress code do better academically and socially. It is assumed that this is due to the fact that when distractions of clothing are removed or minimized the focus can then be more on academics. While allowing for personal expression, the goal of our appearance and Conduct Code is to help our children dress and behave in a manner that will be glorifying to God and help them be successful academically. Appearance Code (1) All dress must be modest. a. Tops and bottoms must overlap so midriff skin is not exposed. b. Necklines should not be revealing c. Shoulders must be covered. d. All shorts and skirts must be knee length or longer. e. Undergarments should not be seen. f. T shirts advertising tobacco, alcohol or containing inappropriate sayings are not allowed. g. Hats are not permitted in the classroom. h. No yoga pants or leggings without a dress or skirt. Code of Conduct 1. We will abide by Catholic standards of expectations in our speech, and in our actions, showing kindness, responsibility and honest, towards adults and fellow students and property. 2. We will refrain from disruptive and distracting behavior during class, and be attentive and cooperate with tutors, helpers and fellow students at all times. 3. We will watch for and take care of younger siblings and children that are in our presence, being thoughtful of their safety. 4. No weapons of any kind, including, but not limited to guns, knives, pocketknives or lasers are allowed on site at any time. Any of these items found in the possession of a student will be confiscated and returned only to the parent.

5. No electronic devices, including, but not limited to cell phones, electronic games, Ipods, MP3 s, are allowed in the building except for in the possession of the parents. Any electronic items found in the possession of a student will be confiscated and returned only to the parent. EXCEPTION: If it is necessary for your child to carry a cell phone, it needs to be out of sight at all times, except when at the welcome desk lobby area. Students may use computers by themselves for homework purposes only. 6. No skateboards, heelies, or similar recreational toys will be allowed on either Church property. 7. No street drugs, tobacco, alcohol or drug paraphernalia are allowed on Church property at any time including in vehicles. 8. No food or drink in the classrooms. 9. Inappropriate touch is not allowed at any time. 10.Gambling, with or without the use of money, is not allowed on the premises. 11.Please pick up after yourself at lunch and throughout the day. 12.Be respectful of our neighbors and church building. No screaming or running around the building, on the landscaping or in the parking lot and street. 13.Other distracting or disruptive behavior will be handled on a case by case basis. Parent Expectations 1. All parents must sign a waiver and release of liability form for All Saints Homeschool Co op. 2. Families are expected to arrive promptly so classes can start on time. 3. All outside playtime must be supervised by the child s parent(s) if there is not a volunteer supervisor scheduled for the outside area. This applies to ALL children. 4. We do not have a drop off policy at All Saints Homeschool Co op. The parent is responsible for their child(ren) during the hours of the Co op. 5. Each week, for security purposes, all children must be signed in and out with a parent contact phone number and signature. Children are not allowed to leave the building without a parent, unless other arrangements have been made with administration. 6. Parents must pay tuition on time and all payments must be made directly to the tutor. 7. All parents must sign the Acknowledgement Form and return it before or on the first day of class.

Process for resolving issues and violations 1. First, an attempt to resolve an issue or code violation should be made between families before coming to the administrator. or text is not recommended. The administrator will ask if you first attempted to address the issue with the family and how before getting involved. If the administrator decides it s a code violation the following steps will be taken: a. 1st offense Talk with families to see if it is resolved b. 2nd offense Student and families meet with administrator. May include not All Saints Homeschool Co op for a period of time. c. 3rd offense Expelled from All Saints Homeschool Co op. Payment Schedule Tuition and registration fees and supply fees can be made in full on the first day of classes. Please make payment directly to the tutor. Failure to pay tuition will result in the student s dismissal from class. Tuition and supply fees are non refundable after one month prior to class start. Volunteer Responsibility Due to the fact that All Saints Homeschool Co op is run entirely by volunteers, each family s participation is vital. Each family is required to sign up for at least one day of volunteering to sit at the Welcome Desk. Your duty will include making sure children are signed in and out by a parent or guardian. The first few weeks of co op are taken care of and there will be a sign up sheet at the Welcome Desk. When stopping to sign your children in and out please take a moment to sign your family up for a day of volunteer. In addition to volunteering a day of your time at the Welcome Desk we also ask that each family please be responsible for making sure the premises in which you were sitting is clean and tidy before leaving for the day. We are so very blessed to have a great location for our co op and we would like to show our respect and appreciation by always leaving the church even neater than when we came.

Role of the Tutor At All Saints Homeschool Co op our goal is to respect the fact that the parents are the main educators of their children. The role of our tutors is to aid in the child s learning experience by adding instruction in the tutor s area of expertise. The tutors will provide a syllabus for each class that will show what will be covered in the class along with homework assignments. They will also provide suggestions for what the parents can do at home to enhance and continue the class instruction. The amount of homework is dependent on the grade level of the class and the subject covered. it is also the parent s responsibility to ensure that their child is completing and turning in the homework assignments that the tutor requires unless discussed with the tutor. There will be end of semester evaluations given to the parents that will include the percentage for that semester s work. Attendance If you know in advance that your child will be absent from any given class, please let the tutor(s) know as soon as possible. This is very helpful in planning and buying any needed supplies. Our goal at All Saints Homeschool Co op is to share the love of God with all attendees and their families, while providing a Christ like atmosphere of support and learning. Please feel free to let us know how we can pray for you, or support you and your family. We also welcome and suggestions you have for how we can make this co op more pleasing to God and more helpful to homeschooling families. Thank you for giving All Saints Homeschool Co op the opportunity to come alongside you on your homeschooling journey. Many Blessings!
