The Enrichment & Marketing Manager is an administrative position which is responsible for developing, implementing, managing and evaluating Enrichment programs for the Lakeville Area Public Schools Community Education Department. Enrichment program areas include Youth Enrichment, Youth Service & Development, Aquatics & Safety, Adult Enrichment and Giant Step Theatre. This position supervises the Youth Enrichment & Aquatics Coordinator, Enrichment Coordinator and Gymnastics Coordinator in the successful delivery of activities, programs and services. This position also manages the marketing function for the overall Department. Through this role and related responsibilities, this position is an integral part in the successful delivery of activities, programs and services. 2. B.A. or B.S. Degree in community education, recreation, marketing or related field 3. Experience working as a supervisor within community education, recreation, marketing or similar experience in a related field 4. Customer service, group facilitation and conflict resolution training and experience preferred 5. Proficient using Windows, Apple and Google based computer operating systems. Proficient in software systems including word processing, spreadsheets, databases, , calendar, cloud storage and e-commerce software 6. For complete job description/qualifications, see attached. 7. 2 POSITION TITLE: DEPARTMENT/BUILDING: LAKEVILLE AREA PUBLIC SCHOOLS POSITION DESCRIPTION Enrichment & Marketing Manager LOCATOR: (Office Use Only) Community Education POSITION Department CLASSIFICATION: Director of Community Education BARGAINING UNIT: Non-Affiliated TITLE OF IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR: POSITION SUMMARY: The Enrichment & Marketing Manager is an administrative position which is responsible for developing, implementing, managing and evaluating Enrichment programs for the Lakeville Area Public Schools Community Education Department. Enrichment program areas include Youth Enrichment, Youth Service & Development, Aquatics & Safety, Adult Enrichment and Giant Step Theatre. This position supervises the Youth Enrichment & Aquatics Coordinator, Enrichment Coordinator and Gymnastics Coordinator in the successful delivery of activities, programs and services. This position also manages the marketing function for the overall Department. Through this role and related responsibilities, this position is an integral part in the successful delivery of activities, programs and services. This is a full-time, year-round position. Although the position must maintain flexible working hours at various locations, the typical schedule will be weekdays from 8:00 am-4:30 pm at the Community Education Building. The Community Education Department is a dynamic organization which is constantly growing and evolving to meet the educational needs of the community. The individual filling this position must be able to adapt, develop and work in a fast-paced professional environment, performing general and specific tasks in concert with other team members in the fulfillment of the Department vision To be leaders in innovation and community engagement and mission To provide learning opportunities and resources for our community to develop lifelong skills. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The essential functions of this position include, but are not limited to, the following fundamental duties: 1. Vision and Mission In collaboration with the Director of Community Education (Director) and others, creates a mission and vision, as well as sets goals, objectives and action plans for the Adult Enrichment, Youth Service & Development, Youth Enrichment, Aquatics and Giant Step Theatre program areas (collectively called Enrichment) that are supportive of the department and district missions, visions and strategic plan. Adult Enrichment currently includes, but is not limited to, adult classes as well as evening and weekend youth classes such as Kung Fu, Karate, Babysitting and summer band. Youth Service & Development includes, but is not limited to Youth in Government, Young Entrepreneurs Academy, First Lego League, Middle School Service Projects and Youth Service & Development Grants. Collaborates with others to make Enrichment a part of a unified, collaborative Community Education philosophy. 2. Operations. Remains current and informed of gymnastics and safety standards and monitors program compliance. Develops, implements and revises, safety procedures and guidelines. Oversees the administration of fee assistance grants and solicits additional funding for fee assistance for Enrichment. Oversees the solicitation, selection and administration process for Youth Service & Development Grants. Works with the Youth Enrichment & Aquatics Coordinator and Enrichment Coordinator on day to day program coordination and problem solving. Oversees the access control processes at program locations related to Enrichment Maintains confidential, sensitive, customer, registration, payment and class information. Stays

3 current on and follows all District safety and security policies and procedures Conducts program evaluations with students, parents and staff, and makes recommendations for improvements. Observes and personally participates in enrichment programs to promote program familiarity to improve customer service as well as to provide a system for feedback to increase programming quality. Creates and maintains, on an annual basis, a manual for the processes and procedures of this position. 3. Personnel. Supervises the Enrichment & Aquatics Coordinator, Enrichment Coordinator, Gymnastics Coordinator and Instructors, as well as other Community Education staff. Recruits, hires, trains, schedules, supervises and evaluates Adult Enrichment, Youth Service & Development and Gymnastics Program staff. Personally fills vacancies or absences when necessary. Provides guidance to the Enrichment & Aquatics Coordinator and Enrichment Coordinator in the recruitment, hiring, training, scheduling, supervision and evaluation of program staff. Oversees independent contractors and grantees in the delivery of programs and services. Participates in the evaluation of office clerical staff. Maintains student, staff and independent contractor records, including certifications, liability insurance and background checks. Is on-call evenings and weekends to address program, staff and/or customer issues. This includes direct involvement when it is necessary to modify the normal schedule of District activities as a result of inclement weather or for other reasons. Serves as the building administrator for the Community Education Building in the absence of the Director and other Program Managers. 4. Finance. Plans, recommends, monitors, reports and evaluates Enrichment budgets to the Director. Negotiates contracts for Enrichment contractors. Purchases supplies and equipment as well as oversees their use. 5. Marketing. Develops, designs, manages and evaluates the overall marketing of the Community Education Department, including the editing and publication of Department catalogs, flyers, and promotional items as well as the overall management of the department website, social media and lists. Oversees the sale of advertisements in the Department catalog. Solicits bids for marketing services including graphic design and printing Creates, updates and monitors program listings on the department website and FeePay system. Works with media resources to promote programs and other newsworthy events. Represents the Department and District at special events, meetings and committees as well as within community groups, including serving on the Elko New Market Civic & Community Events Committee as well as Senior Resources Coalition. 6. Collaboration. Collaborates and problem solves with citizens, community organizations, District staff and advisory councils to develop, implement and manage new initiatives and collaborations to meet community needs. Develops and maintains effective relationships and communications tools with students, parents, community members, program staff, and District staff in order to provide services. Partners with the Facility Use & Systems Manager to ensure the facility reservation process runs efficiently and effectively. Contributes to the CE Leadership Team and other District committees relating to professional perspectives, problem solving, strategic planning; systems development, as well as policy and procedure creation and revision. 7. Development. Strives to become knowledgeable in all aspects of the Community Education Department Determines the professional development needs relating to Enrichment.

4 Seeks out and identifies opportunities for ongoing professional development of self and others. Is a member of a Department Professional Learning Community, District Leadership Team, various Enrichment user groups and the Minnesota Community Education Association. 8. Reporting. Responsible for data collection, maintenance, research and analysis related to Enrichment necessary for the Department Dashboard, Key Performance Indicators and other reporting requirements. Completes all state and federal requirements for submitting the periodic Youth Service and Development plan. Prepares information and data for the annual Community Education State Report. Provides periodic updates via the District administrative weekly update. Prepares and delivers written, electronic and oral presentations to staff, students, parents, customers, community groups, advisory councils, District administration and School Board. 9. Performs other duties as needed or assigned by the Director. ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Delivers a high standard of customer service including serving as the primary contact for Enrichment and Marketing problem solving, conflict resolution and making reasonable adaptations or special accommodations for participants. 2. Prioritizes tasks and projects on a daily basis, seasonal and annual cycle. Manages multiple requests simultaneously while meeting project deadlines. 3. Maintains flexible office hours at the Community Education Building or other locations for the purpose of carrying out job duties as well as servicing the needs of the public. General office hours will be from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. year round. Will work periodic evenings and weekends. 4. Travels between District facilities, other educational sites and regional/state meetings as necessary or directed 5. Performs duties with awareness of all district requirements and procedures, Board of Education policies, as well as governmental laws, rules and regulations. 6. Carries out written and/or verbal instructions. POSITION QUALIFICATIONS (Specific training or job experience required before appointment): 1. B.A. or B.S. Degree in community education, recreation, marketing or related field 2. Experience working as a supervisor within community education, recreation, marketing or similar experience in a related field 3. Customer service, group facilitation and conflict resolution training and experience preferred 4. Excellent interpersonal, problem solving and customer service skills 5. Excellent verbal, written and electronic communication skills. 6. Excellent planning and organization skills 7. Pays high attention to detail and organization 8. Proficient using design software such as InDesign. 9. Proficient using Windows, Apple and Google based computer operating systems.
