We are busy preparing our Splash Park for Summer fun and will open it on May 21st. SKATEBOARD/SCOOTERBOARD PARK The skatepark will open May 14th for skateboards and scooters. Check out the halfpipe, rails, funboxes and watch for a cool new feature being added soon! Safety equipment is required, children under 12 must be closely supervised at all times. PLAYGROUND The playground is open year-round with swings, toys and climbing apparatus. OUTDOOR FITSTATION Check out this great adult feature located south of the playground OPEN GYM TIMES June 29 to September 2 Open gym times are unsupervised and activities are on a first-come, first-serve basis. Badminton may be limited to one court during open gym times. Basic gym equipment is available for loan from the front desk using your TRA card. Summer DayCamps have priority on weekdays so open gyms may be cancelled without notice due to inclement weather, if needed. Summer Club Activities TENNIS COURTS We will have 2 outdoor tennis courts available on a first come basis with a half-hour courtesy wait time. Renovation of both courts will begin Fall Courts open daily at 9 am and close by 9:45 pm. Bring own racquets balls can be loaned at desk Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult at the courts at all times. Tennis Courts Closed for Lessons... July 11 to 15, July 25 to 29, Aug. 8 to 12, Aug. 22 to Aug. 26 from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm * Tuesday evenings 6:00 to 8:00 pm OUR 30-MINUTE COURTESY WAIT RULE Players have 30 minutes to vacate their court if there is a group waiting to play. It does not matter how long they have already been playing. Groups should be considerate in marshalling themselves and keeping proper order. It includes camper contact and medical info plus more important information and must be returned by the Friday morning prior to start date. A camp newsletter will be sent out weekly highlighting activities for that week plus special notes and news. Explorers DayCamps (4 to 7 years) Week 1 July 4 to July 8 - Spectacular Summer Kick off summer with some silly games, crazy crafts and whatever else we can dream up. Week 2 July 11 to July 15 - Wild West Celebrate the Calgary Stampede with Western-themed crafts, games, and special events. Wrap up the week by joining us Sat. July 16th for the TRA Pancake Breakfast. Week 3 July 18 to July 22 - Deep in the Jungle Take a walk on the wild side and come on a safari and explore the jungle. Week 4 July 25 to July 29 - Space Invaders Come on a space adventure and explore crafts and games that are out of this world. *Week 5 August 2 to August 5 - Under the Sea Grab your bathing suit and goggles and come explore the deep blue sea. Week 6 August 8 to August 12 - Outrageous Olympics Join us for our very own summer Olympics. Bring your energy and sneakers this week as we play lots of different sports and games inside and out. Week 7 August 15 to 19 - Under the Big Top Run away and join our circus. There will be lots of clowning around, midway games and sideshow attractions. Week 8 August 22 to August 26 - Holiday Hoopla Celebrate a year of holidays in a week. Christmas carols, Easter egg hunts, Halloween crafts, dress up days and more are all part of the fun. It s everybody s birthday this week! Week 9 August 29 to September 2- The Best of the Best! We wrap up the season in style by bringing back all our most fun and favourite things from the first 8 weeks and jam in as much fun as we can before summer fades away. This unlicensed, recreation-based program runs as separate week sessions (Fall, Winter, Spring 1, Spring 2) to allow for flexibility in times and days each session. Crafts, stories, active play and more! Sportball is a dynamic sports program focusing on skill development in many different sports. 6 Page 6 Summer 2015 IMPORTANT PROGRAM NOTES Programs and camp weeks with low registration are cancelled up to three days before start date. Full refund or credit is issued and participants are contacted. Requests to withdraw after registration and up to 7 days prior to start date incur a $10 fee. Requests to withdraw less then 7 days before start incur a $10 fee plus up to 25% program fee. After two classes into the program, refunds will be issued for medical reasons only and confirmation may be required. A minimum $10 fee may still apply. Fees are paid at time of registration. Your online registration is only successful and complete if you paid by credit card and can view a receipt onscreen. Failure to attend a program or camp does not cancel the enrollment and refunds will not be issued. Only listed occupants of your household may register for programs. No guests or non-members. Begin registration by selecting ONLINE PROGRAM REGISTRATION or view the tutorial by choosing online registration instructions first. 4. Begin selecting programs and add to your shopping cart - you will be asked to choose the participant first, then when checking out you will choose the payer - transactions are not complete unless you have paid by credit card online. Available credits will be visible under the primary account holder (shown in ALL CAPS). If you are not sure how to use your credits, please call the office at for assistance with registration. 5. The doors are on a swipe entry system which is unlocked with your card. A TRA card is required to sign out gym equipment. Entry to the facility and grounds is a privilege of TRA members only and entry may be denied if membership cannot be properly established.
