Now that you have examined yourself, it is important whether you re college bound or not to create a mission statement. This statement should be at the foundation of everything you do. To help you build a mission statement, use the following link:

4 Part VIII: Last Part for now! A. Now that you have examined your personality, skills and possible career objectives, you are going to develop a one page, typed essay about you. This essay format is based on typical college entrance essays. Typically, when applying for a college, they will want to get to know you better. And usually they will ask one or more of the following types of questions: you, why us or creativity essay (Sample). B. Your essay must be 1 to 1.5 pages in length, double spaced, and 12 point TNR font. Be sure to include all the typical parts of an essay. For this particular essay, it is best to write a 5-paragraph style essay. C. Choose one of the following questions and use as much of the aforementioned information as possible. a. You Essay i. "Please complete a one-page personal statement and submit it with your application." (James Madison University) ii. "How would you describe yourself as a human being? What quality do you like best in yourself and what do you like least? What quality would you most like to see flourish and which would you like to see wither?" (Bates College) iii. Describe the most challenging obstacle you have overcome; discuss its impact and tell what you have learned from the experience. (Guilford University) b. Why Us Essay i. "Why is UVM a good college choice for you?" (University of Vermont) ii. "Please tell us about your career goals and any plans you may have for graduate study." (Westfield State College) iii. We would like to know what experiences have led you to select your professional field and objective. (Boston University) c. Creativity Essay i. "Do you believe there's a generation gap? Describe the differences between your generation and others." (Denison University) ii. "Indicate a person who has had a significant influence on you, and describe that influence." (Common Application) iii. You have just completed your 300 page autobiography. Please submit page 217. (University of Pennsylvania) d. Perhaps you are already applying for a college and have been given a question to write on. Approve it with your teacher and you choose this option. e. Perhaps you have already been accepted to a college, chat with Mr. Scharnberg about your options.
