1 PRODUCT DESCRIPTION Descriptin/ Uses The VidSpan Prt Anchr is a patented (US, CAN, EUR) stainless steel sck type anchr that spans acrss internal vids, tying separated leafs f masnry tgether while prviding an integral prt thrugh which the vid can be inspected, cleaned, pre-wetted and then gruted. These anchrs cme in a wide variety f types and cnfiguratins t best meet the needs f the prject, in lengths accrding t rder. They are manufactured in Canada fr VidSpan under a licensing agreement by Cintec America, Inc. Unique Features All stainless steel cnstructin. Perfrated and single r duble rdded pen shank anchrs available t suit lading, gruting cnditins and injectin pressures. Cintec anchr scks are available at either r bth ends, with bearing plates available in lieu f r in additin t the scks. Remvable threaded rds scket int uter ends f anchr in rder t directly attach dunnage t cunter injectin pressures- The prt anchr dubles as the fastening system fr the dunnage, aviding the need fr external bracing. Anchr shear capacity nt reliant n dwel actin but based upn shear frictin haunch thery, with the maximum tie capacity prvided at the pint f best grut cmpactin- at the anchr. VidSpan CG70 Grut has been designed t wrk with Prt Anchrs. VidSpan CG70 Grut is a breathable, ultra- lw shrinkage, flwable, self cnslidating grut fr use in filling cracks and vids in lder masnry structures. Based n a pzzlanic hydraulic lime PHLc as per ASTM C1707, it is a lw-t-mderate strength adhesive, filler and mrtar replacement material. Uses Include lw pressure injectin f cracks and vids in mass masnry cnstructin using Prt Anchrs; and cavity-gruting and gravity feeding and lw pressure pump filling f vids and cracks as narrw as 1/16 in width.

We prvide length calculatin sheets with rder frms, alng with engineering guidelines. Cintec s wn Presstec Grut is supplied with the anchr and must be used t fill the anchr scks. The VS-34 is fr use where anchr frnt face must be cncealed r recessed, where vid cleaning is needed, and there is sufficient depth at nly the back layer t develp lad thrugh adhesin, meaning that supplemental plates and/r dunnage are needed at the frnt.

The VS-80 is fr use where nly the anchr frnt must be cncealed r recessed, where cmplete vid cleaning is nt needed, and there is nt sufficient depth in the frnt r back layer t resist gruting pressures lad thrugh adhesin alne, thus requiring supplemental dunnage n bth faces.

6 Installer Respnsibility and Certificatin VidSpan Prt Anchrs Sheet # 6 f 6 Because f the critical nature f their functin, installatin f all VidSpan Prt Anchrs with anchr injected grut require Installer Certificatin. There are tw tiers f certificatin: Tier 1/ Nn-Pressure Critical Requirements: Fr gruting applicatins where in the pinin f the specifier there is little risk f causing blw-ut f the injected structure if gruting pressures exceed 3.75 punds per square inch.cintec Certificatin 5 years well referenced experience with repair f histric masnry structures including the use f Cintec Anchrs and gravity-fed grut applicatins. 2 hur training sessin put n by VidSpan Limitatins n Use: Use f gravity feeding grut equipment nly with 4.5 max. feet f pressure head frm the bttm f lift, n use f mechanical pumping equipment, gruting limited f flat surfaces f nt mre than three ft hrizntal length between dunnage bracing pints r returns with external surface in restred cnditin, and nt less than 40-hurs between successive 3-ft grut lifts. There are n Tier 1 limits n VidSpan Prt Anchr installatin. Tier 2/ Pressure Critical Requirements: Fr gruting applicatins where in the pinin f the specifier there is significant risk f causing blw-ut f the injected structure if gruting pressures f 4.5 psi are exceeded. VidSpan Tier 1 Certificatin 5 years well referenced experience with pressure gruting f existing masnry structures, including pressure mnitring, gemetric measuring and use f all mechanized and nn-mechanized equipment. Additinal 2 hur training sessin put n by VidSpan plus written examinatin. Limitatins n Use: N limitatins ther than nt mre than ne 3-ft grut lift within 20-hurs unless specifically authrized by a Structural Engineer registered in the jurisdictin f use.
