2 Dear Friends, Join us for the trip of a lifetime! As we tour the Land of the Bible, you will be thrilled as the PLACES AND EVENTS of the BIBLE come to life in AN AMAZING WAY! Just imagine walking on the very steps that Jesus walked as He entered the Temple to worship and sailing on the Sea where He commanded, Peace, be still! This two-week journey is a tremendous opportunity for us to get to know each other as we discover the Land of the Bible together. While typical Holy Land tours spend between 7-10 days in Israel, our 14 days will enable you to visit more places than the average group. In addition, we will conduct baptisms in the Jordan River (whether it is your first time or a reconfirmation of your water baptism). Also, the beautiful Garden Tomb area will be the site of a Communion Service, as well as anointing with oil for healing. Be prepared to make memories that will last a lifetime...and beyond! In Christ s love and service, David & Norma-Jean Mainse Ron & Ann Mainse Thursday, Nov. 13 Toronto/Tel Aviv Arrive at the Toronto Pearson International Airport by 3:00 p.m. to prepare for our flight at 6:00 p.m. Together we will mount up with wings like eagles aboard a direct non-stop El Al flight for our overnight journey to the Holy Land. Friday, Nov. 14 Tel Aviv/Dead Sea We arrive early afternoon at the International Airport at Tel Aviv. After claiming luggage and being assisted through customs, we will meet our guide, board our bus and proceed to the south via the Negev Desert to Beersheba. We will visit the site of Biblical Tel Sheva where archaeologists have uncovered two-thirds of a city dating from the time of Abraham. We will then continue to our hotel on the shores of the Dead Sea for dinner & overnight. Saturday, Nov. 15 Masada/Dead Sea In the morning we ascend by cable car to the top of Mt. Masada to visit the amazing fortress built by Herod the Great. It was there that Jewish defenders made the last stand of their revolt against the Roman Empire (70-73 AD), ending in tragedy. From this vantage point, we have a most spectacular view of the surrounding desert, the mountains of Judea and the Dead Sea. In the afternoon, enjoy a leisurely float in the therapeutic waters of the Dead Sea (and even smear on some world-famous mud!). Dinner & overnight at our hotel. Sunday, Nov. 16 Qumran/Beth Shean/Tiberias This morning we depart for Qumran, where the Dead Sea Scrolls were discovered, view Jericho, the Mount of Temptation, and the Oasis of Ein Gedi. Next we visit the amazing ruins of Bet She an, where King Saul s body and those of his sons were hung on the gates, the Spring of Harod, where Gideon chose his 300 men, and on to our hotel in Tiberias on the shores of the Sea of Galilee for dinner & overnight. Monday, Nov. 17 Sea of Galilee Today we enjoy a highlight for many as we set sail on the Sea of Galilee for a reflective morning devotional. On its shores we will then visit the ancient restored Jesus Boat. This afternoon we will have our Baptismal Service in the Jordan River for first-time and reconfirmation baptisms. We then return to our hotel for dinner & overnight. Tuesday, Nov. 18 Galilee On the shores of the Sea of Galilee we will visit the ancient city of Capernaum, the second hometown of Jesus and the town where Peter lived (Matthew 4:13). Overlooking the Sea of Galilee, we will spend time on the Mount of Beatitudes, site of the Sermon on the Mount (Matthew 5-7). We will visit Tabgha, where Jesus fed the multitudes (John 6) and go to the Church of Primacy, where Peter declared his love for the Lord after His resurrection (John 21:1, 15-17). Return to our hotel for dinner & overnight.

3 Wednesday, Nov. 19 Nazareth/Megiddo We begin with a visit to Cana, the site of Jesus first miracle, and Sephoris, the traditional home of Joachim and Anna, Mary s parents. Arrive at Nazareth Village to experience life in the 1st century, then visit the Church of the Annunciation and the Church of St. Gabriel (Mary s Well). We continue through the Jezreel Valley, passing Shunem and Nain, and stopping at Tel Megiddo (Biblical Armageddon), the fortress of Solomon, protecting the crossroads of the Ancient world. Dinner & overnight at our hotel. Thursday, Nov. 20 Galilee/Mt. Carmel/Caesarea/Tel-Aviv Next we visit the amazing Roman aqueduct built by King Herod and stop at Caesarea, the city where Cornelius, the first non-jew, was to become a follower of Christ. We gather in the ancient amphitheatre for a service to commemorate the outpouring of the Holy Spirit upon the Gentiles and where the Apostle Paul spent two years in prison before being sent to Rome. We then travel along the shore of the Mediterranean Sea to Tel-Aviv and our hotel for dinner & overnight. Friday, Nov. 21 Joppa/Valley of Elah Proceed to ancient Jaffa (Joppa), the port from which Jonah sailed (Jonah 2:3) and to which King Solomon had the Cedars of Lebanon rafted for the building of the first Temple. We will stroll around the old town with its restored artists colony, archaeological excavations, the site of the House of Simon the Tanner, where Peter stayed (Acts 9:36-10:23), the old harbour and the Church of St. Peter. Next, a short visit to the colourful, captivating Carmel Market. We continue east to the Valley of Elah, where we can choose five smooth stones from the creek, just as David did before slaying Goliath in that valley. Return to Tel-Aviv for dinner & overnight at our hotel. Saturday, Nov. 22 Jerusalem After breakfast we travel up to Jerusalem, starting with a morning overlook of the city from the Mount of Olives, from which Jesus ascended and to which He will return. Walk down, if able, the steep descent where Jesus travelled on Palm Sunday, visit the Garden of Gethsemane, where Jesus was arrested, and on to the site of the Palace of the High Priest Caiaphas, where Jesus was held in prison. The final stop on this day will be the Upper Room and the Tomb of King David. We check into our hotel for dinner & overnight. Sunday, Nov. 23 Jerusalem We begin with a visit to the beautiful and inspiring Garden Tomb, next to the hill of Golgotha, where we will have a communion service followed by personal prayer for anyone desiring it. Walk the Via Dolorosa to the Pool of Bethesda, Pilate s judgment hall, and the Church of the Holy Sepulcher. Proceed to the village of Ein Kareem, where Mary visited Elizabeth and baby John the Baptist leapt in his mother s womb. We then return to the hotel for dinner & overnight. Monday, Nov. 24 Jerusalem Visit the Jerusalem Museum, the Shrine of the Book (the Dead Sea Scrolls museum), and Yad Vashem (the Holocaust Memorial). In the afternoon, visit the Wailing Wall, where many Jewish people pray for the coming of Messiah and the rebuilding of the Temple, and visit the original Southern Steps of the Temple, upon which Jesus would have walked. A tunnel tour along the Western Wall is available for any who have the strength to traverse the distance. Return to the hotel for dinner & overnight. Tuesday, Nov. 25 Bethlehem/Herodian Travel to Herodian, the fortress of Herod just outside Bethlehem, then visit Bethlehem, the birthplace of Jesus, the Church of the Nativity, have lunch in Manger Square, travel to the Shepherd s Fields, and return to our hotel in Jerusalem for dinner & overnight. Wednesday, Nov. 26 Jerusalem Free day in Jerusalem. This is the perfect opportunity for shopping in the Old City and revisiting some of your favourite sites. Return to our hotel for dinner. Late evening check-out followed by transfer to the airport for check-in and departure. Thursday, Nov. 27 Tel-Aviv/Toronto Our journey through the Land of the Bible comes to a close as we depart for Toronto at 1:00 a.m. and arrive at 7:00 a.m. on the same day. ATTENTION: It is important to note that each touring day around the Holy Land involves a fair bit of walking. Therefore, it is necessary that tour members are able to walk at least one-half a kilometer unassisted. This way the group can move together at a normal pace.
