1 Masters and PhD Application Form 2013 About the Project The European-South African Programme in Tuning for Regional Needs in Higher Education (EU-SATURN) is part of the Eramus Mundus program. The EU- SATURN project includes 7 European and 9 South African Universities partners along with 4 Associated s from part of the EU SATURN consortium. EU-SATURN offers scholarships for Master s students, doctoral students and staff members. The Study & Research opportunities offer by the EU-SATURN are: Agriculture Sciences Architecture, Urban and Regional Planning Business Studies, Management Science Education, Teacher Training Engineering, Technology Geography, Geology Mathematics, Informatics Medical Sciences Social Sciences Communication and Information Sciences Renewable Energy, Climate Change and Human rights The Scholarship cover: a monthly subsistence allowance from 1,000 to 2,500 a tuition fee waiver a flight ticket covering one round trip South Africa Europe full insurance coverage (travel, health, accident) Eligibility The Call is open to All South African citizens intending to studying towards Master s and Doctoral qualifications Students who have already been awarded funding (bursary or scholarship) for the 2013 academic year should NOT apply for the EU-SATURN scholarship.

2 Applications Master applicants must complete the Masters Application form below and annex the following as support of their application: ID copy ( certified) A short cover letter ( max words) Current Curriculum Vitae Original academic transcript/s ( certified copies) of the applicant s BTech level (or equivalent ) as well as national diploma The names and contact details of two referees, one of which must be an academic referee of his/her department. 1 PhD applicants must complete the PhD Application form below and annex the following as support of their application: ID copy ( certified) A short cover letter ( max words) Current Curriculum Vitae Original transcript/s (or certified copies) of the applicant s Master level The applicant Master s Masters dissertation or research report The names and contact details of two referees, one of which must be an academic referee of his/her department. The application must be signed by one of them The application form must be signed. Applicants wishing to their application should therefore print sign and scan their completed application form. Successful applicants will be awarded the relevant scholarships on condition that: They are accepted by the University for Postgraduate Study in 2013 They are registered for full time study
