2 SJIB NATIONAL WORKING RULES WAGES AND CONDITIONS 2015 & 2016 PROMULGATION NOTICE 1. TWO-YEAR AGREEMENT A two-year agreement has been reached with implementation dates on: - Year 1 5 January 2015 Year 2 4 January RATES OF PAY The rates of pay are to be increased by the following percentages: - Year 1 (2015) 2% Year 2 (2016) 3% For an Approved Electrician ( Rate), the increases in the hourly rate will be: - National Rate per Hour Amount of Increase 2014 (Current Year) (Year 1) p 2016 (Year 2) p All other rates of pay are to be increased pro rata. Full details of the new rates are attached in Appendix LODGING ALLOWANCE From 5 January 2015 Lodging will be per night. Note: Increases to Accommodation are based upon RPI at a certain point in the tax year and are subject to approval by HM Revenue & Customs. 4. WELFARE BENEFITS - OPERATIVES The following will apply from 5 January 2015 Death Benefit - 30,000 from any cause. 5. AIR FARES In lodging situations under the National Working Rule 2.1 g (iii) Protracted Journey, where transport between the job and Shop can be by air, then a return journey shall be arranged every four weeks, regardless of distance.
