They found that 12 of the 43 students They found that 12 of the 43 students with energy drinks were drinking alcohol!

Another troubling trend.. At a recent Nightclub and Bar Show Anheuser-Busch. Miller, and Fortune Brands featured previews of products designed to help young drinkers stay up and drink all night long and not have hangover. You drink Purple Vodka until you can t walk and I will guarantee you won t have hangover.
More Sparkling Vodka A vodka covered up by a stimulant that allows a sick person to drink more. Flip Shotz a long wooden paddle designed d to let multiple drinkers do shot of liquor simultaneously.
So What Can be Done? 1. Learn about the products, their packaging, their risks and where they are being used. 2. Share the information with educators so they can help teach our kids. 3. Encourage off-sale retailers to voluntarily refrain from selling pre-mixed alcoholic energy drinks. 4. Focus law enforcement attention on alcoholic energy drinks. 5 Hi hli ht th bl s ss i t d ith l h li 5. Highlight the problems associated with alcoholic energy drinks in the media.
State Controls and Strategies Study AB 345 and AB 346. AB 345 will direct all tax revenues collected as a result of the BOE s decision to treat alcopops (including alcoholic energy drinks) as distilled spirits instead of beer to local public health and safety initiatives. AB 346 will require a label that states: Attention: Contains Alcohol on any alcopop containers (including containers of alcoholic energy drinks) that could be confused with nonalcoholic beverages.
State Controls and Strategies The ABC Department t is refusing to follow the BOE s lead and reclassify alcopops, including alcoholic li energy drinks as distilled spirits.
